I think Tom Spurgeon's initial response to the reboot news was probably correct: this seems completely idiotic. Even compared to other comic "events."
there will be a Batman, Inc. comic
I didn't see that in the link -- did I miss it? There is supposed to be an announcement about it later today. They've said that Morrison will be doing some new Superman title, so people seem to be assuming that Inc. is toast.
So... there's Batwoman. Apart from that, it seems like I can go back to ignoring superhero books.

Huh. Maybe Bleeding Cool retracted it.
I just received the final
Buffy: Season 8
trade, which I bought out of completism, and as I flipped through, all I could think was WHY IS THE ART SO BAD??? UGH. I maybe would have enjoyed the series more if the art weren't terrible. Geez.

Everywhere I turn people are upset about Oracle. I wonder if DC will rethink rebooting Babs.
I really have mixed feelings. I love Oracle, but I love Baba/Batgirl.
In any case, I guess I have to change my bio page at work, which says that I used to be Batgirl until I became Oracle.
Don't let DC reboot your life, Raq!
A little bit of good DC news: George Perez to write and draw Superman #1
I suppose after 6 years it was inevitable that there would be at least one announcement that would make me regret my DC boycott rather than reinforcing my commitment to it.
Oooookay. Per Morrison
“Batman, Incorporated will continue through to Issue #10 and August’s shocking season finale that changes the Batman status quo yet again. The series will take a brief hiatus while I work on a major new project to be announced shortly. Batman, Incorporated returns next year with me, Chris Burnham and Batman: Leviathan, the epic 12 part conclusion to my 6 year Batman saga. Don’t miss it!”
And it'll start over at #1 as well. So confusing.

shocking season finale that changes the Batman status quo yet again.
Really? You can't let your new status be quo for more than 10 issues?
It might be quo, but it's not very status.
