I look more rad than Lutheranism

Bruce and Damien would just be dark-dark.

Two tons of fun, hoo boy.

Robin is supposed to be the light counterpoint to Bruce's dark.

Although Tim was not exactly "light." But then again, compared to Batman, all things being relative, he was light-er.

My sense of wrong is not decreasing.

I know it. I really don't want to drop all my titles, but...I might just.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The thing with Tim was, compared to Bruce, he seemed light. You only realised how fucking NOT LIGHT Tim was when he was in a title without Bruce.

It was AWESOME.

I don't know, though -- didn't the whole Obeah Man thing with his parents happen almost right away? That kind of made it hard for him to be light(er).

(My timeline might be way off, at this point, so I don't know.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just started collecting. I don't want to stop so soon.

I don't think it was that right away, but I'd have to check my trades. I mean, right away in terms of his life span, but lots of issues before it.

And even then, he still seems light with Bruce in the room. A black hole would seem light with Bruce in the room. None. None more dark than the Dark Knight.

I think Tom Spurgeon's initial response to the reboot news was probably correct: this seems completely idiotic. Even compared to other comic "events."

there will be a Batman, Inc. comic

I didn't see that in the link -- did I miss it? There is supposed to be an announcement about it later today. They've said that Morrison will be doing some new Superman title, so people seem to be assuming that Inc. is toast.

So... there's Batwoman. Apart from that, it seems like I can go back to ignoring superhero books.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Huh. Maybe Bleeding Cool retracted it.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I just received the final Buffy: Season 8 trade, which I bought out of completism, and as I flipped through, all I could think was WHY IS THE ART SO BAD??? UGH. I maybe would have enjoyed the series more if the art weren't terrible. Geez.
