Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Batman started to go downhill once Denny O'Neil retired as the editor of the Batman titles, at the end of the Bruce Wayne: Murderer arc. The dude knows his Batman.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I honestly don't think that Objectivists would consider risking one's life (or risk of any kind, for that matter) to be inherently irrational if its done in the pursuit of something you value. In its own nutty way it's actually an ends-justify-the-means approach, not a cost/benefit check.

I'm fairly sure it happened in at least one or two Ayn Rand books, but it's been 20 years since my obsession with the crazy lady and my brief period of Objectivist Identification Syndrome. (Mind you, this does not stop me from wanting to scream at certain political people that Ayn Rand was a pro-choice atheist who couldn't support Ronald Reagan because of his stand on abortion, so she'd be rolling in her grave at them.)

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'm betting those are the same ones who pick and choose which parts of the Bible they want to and ignore the stuff that doesn't push their agenda, so it doesn't surprise me in the least that they'd do the same thing with Rand.

There *is* a similar missing of the point! Yeah, you're right.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

10 Craziest Superman/Batman Stories.

I like IO9 because they'll give a hat tip to slash, even if most of their audience thinks it's icky. It's a sci fi nerd site run by fangirls.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's a sci fi nerd site run by fangirls.

Having met Annalee and Charlie, kinky ones at that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Their editorial staff is out of line with the masses that come by, as is evidenced every time they talk about race and half the time they talk about gender. It can get pretty ugly.

But they're also pretty slash and fanfic friendly, and most of their regulars are "regular" sci fi nerd guys who have a passing interest in fic and little in slash. And then there's a cadre of squeeing girls (I've heard) who totally cheer them along. I mean, I do love that any time Cassandra Clare gets mentioned, one person brings up plagiarism, and most people have no idea what it's about. But one person mentions it.

And some guy usually mentions Rule 34 with disdain, and then five girls jump up cheering.

It's a fun place. They guess at my dark side.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Bryan Cranston, Eliza Dushku, Katee Sackhoff set for animated 'Batman: Year One':

[Ben] McKenzie ("Southland") is starring as Batman. Cranston ("Breaking Bad") will supply the voice of Gordon, while Dushku ("Dollhouse") will play Selina Kyle/Catwoman, and Sackhoff ("Battlestar Galactica") will portray Detective Sarah Essen, Gordon's love interest. Crime boss Carmine Falcone will be voiced by "Simpsons" vet Alex Rocco.
