Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm really enjoying the "Kirb Your Enthusiasm" series on HiLoBrow, Hec.

It's a good lineup of writers, isn't it? I've got to finish my piece this week (Mister Miracle #9), though it's mostly done.

My old roommate and friend, Matthew Specktor, is also writing an entry for the series.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

R.I.P. Dwayne McDuffie. I never read any of his comics, but I loved his work on JLU.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Oh, man! I actually really liked the Static Shock TV show. Yes, even the episode in which Shaq guest-starred.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I liked Static Shock, too!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Am I the only person for whom Blankets and Black Hole are inextricably linked because they are both critically acclaimed, long, black-and-white graphic novels with focuses on teen angst and romance whose titles begin with BLA?

Whoa.

If they cast a fluffy blonde for Deena then I'll know it's going to tank.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

My world used to be very simple. Batman, yes, Superman, sorry hon, too earnest for me, never mind that little flirtation with S1 Smallville, because really, ALL about the goddamn Batman, and okay, the whole fucked up little family, but honestly, NOT all that much into Supes at all ever. Really. Much. Unless you've already moused over the link. Because. Yeah. Damn.
