Other Media 2: It's Astounishing!
Discussion of comics, graphic novels, and more. Except for capes. No capes!
Please use spoiler font for new releases until after the weekend following release.
Scola, yeah, I'm not thinking the second theory is likely, though it would be fun. Your first theory makes a lot of sense.
I do think, though, that she and
Green Ninja Chick are sisters or otherwise related.
It might just be the art style but
they both have the same eyes and mouth.
Of course, if Artemis isn't
the spy, I've got to guess either Superboy or Aqualad
though the latter is only because I was accidently spoiled for his heritage.
Young Justice:
You know, I have to scratch my head at how often the team ends up scrapping with bad guys in their civilian clothes. (Twice so far.) I mean, granted, Miss Martian kind of gives them away, regardless, and Superboy and Aqualad don't bother to wear masks anyway, but I've got to imagine it's going to come back to haunt them at some point.
Speaking of which, I'm surprised Miss Martian doesn't adopt a non-green guise when they're out in public socially.
In addition, I'm kind of disappointed not a single person said
"Klarion... Bum... Bum... Bum... The Witch Boy"
I could have totally seen Wally saying it sarcastically and it would have been a nice little shout-out to the comics.
Kalshane, I went back and rewatched, and at one point they explicitly say that Robin
hasn’t told the rest of the team he’s Dick Grayson—on Batman’s orders—and he wears dark glasses when he’s in civvies.
So Robin and Artemis are
hiding their identities from the rest of the team.
It looks like this Aqualad doesn’t have a secret identity, what with the gills and all, and neither does Megan, and Conner doesn’t call himself Conner yet. The only one who’s really at risk of compromising his identity is Wally, who I kind of doubt has thought this thing through.
Right, I knew they were taking the comic book angle with Robin regarding
secret identities.
I didn't think about the fact that Wally was the only one who really had an identity at risk, though.
I'm really enjoying the "Kirb Your Enthusiasm" series on HiLoBrow, Hec.

It's a good lineup of writers, isn't it? I've got to finish my piece this week (Mister Miracle #9), though it's mostly done.
My old roommate and friend, Matthew Specktor, is also writing an entry for the series.
R.I.P. Dwayne McDuffie. I never read any of his comics, but I loved his work on JLU.
Oh, man! I actually really liked the Static Shock TV show. Yes, even the episode in which Shaq guest-starred.
I liked Static Shock, too!
