Oooh, AV Club has a series where people go back and review classic series, ep by ep on DVD.

If you haven't seen their Buffy reviews, it's quite fun to see an unspoiled person going through the series. I know some of you folks are rewatching so it might be fun to check in with them.

But they just announced some new shows added to their classic reviews including Batman: The Animated Series. Cool beans!

(They're also doing Undeclared.)

Thanks for the head's up, Hec. I just read through the first season, and that was great. I love reading the fresh, relatively unspoiled perspective.

Young Justice: The pilot was a little too testosteroney, but it looks like they're addressing that in the regular series. I hope that Connor isn't this broody all the time. I'm really liking Aqualad, though.

Agreed on all counts. Still wish we were getting a true Young Justice cartoon, but I think I'm going to enjoy this one.

ETA: I haven't read any of the Damien Wayne stuff, so maybe that's where they got it from, but this seemed like a new take on Robin: cackling from the shadows/hacking everything in sight/expecting the rest of the team to keep up rather than coordinating things (other than the bit at the end).

Don't want to edit again. Did we know Alan Tudyk was voicing Green Arrow?

Different voice director (Jamie Thomason?), though, so Andrea Romano isn't any closer to completing here FF voice-actor set.

Speaking of voices, I didn't realize Aqualad was voiced by the same guy who did Cyborg until someone pointed it out elsewhere. (I knew he sounded familiar, but I couldn't place it.)

I think I stuck around through two issues of the cosmic fucking, mostly out of WTF-induced shock. But then the end of an issue was a huge glamour shot of Undead Fonzie and that gave me the strength to drop the series in disgust.

Anyone else been watching Avengers? Wasp cracks me up. Thor and Wasp fighting MODOK and going on and on about his giant head amused me to no end.

Comics I just read and recommended: Blankets, The Annotated Mantooth, Atomic Robo.

If you haven't read Atomic Robo, you should. It's great fun and is full of science jokes.
