Now we're saving a vampire from vampires. I got two words for that -- Nuh and uh.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Tom, Owen has already set the DVR to record that.

move out and draw fire

And I'm pretty sure Mal has called Verizon and had them activate our cable.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I finally got caught up on my comics (down to just Ultimate Spider-man and Buffy at this point. I had 8 issues of the former and 6 of the latter) reading.

Is anyone still reading the Buffy comic, or did everyone bail after the cosmic fucking?

Young Justice: The pilot was a little too testosteroney, but it looks like they're addressing that in the regular series. I hope that Connor isn't this broody all the time. I'm really liking Aqualad, though.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I'm still reading, and I'll buy the last trade, but I think I'm out after that. Whatever, Season Nine. About halfway through Season Eight, I kind of lost interest. I've been reading out of inertia. And because it's Buffy. Except it's not really.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Yeah, I'm a couple issues behind on Buffy. I'm not sure how Joss can wrap it up and make me want to read another season. I am just so unhappy with the way he basically threw Buffy in front of the train. I'm finally starting to understand the people who really hated season 6, because I kinda feel that way about the season 8 comics.

I came really close to calling it quits after Buffy's continued sex daydream in the middle of Spike explaining something the seed. But I'm going to gut it out until the end. I just don't get it, though. Maybe it will come to me before it's over.

If they're going for a season 9, I'll buy it. Because I keep hoping.

I think I'd probably have dropped it if I didn't have the a half dozen issues already. I'll read through to the end of the "season" at this point, but the shine of "New Buffy!" has definitely worn off and I'm starting to feel Joss' vision of Buffy and comicbooks aren't very mixy things. I know I gave up on the Angel Season 6 comics pretty quickly. Do those explain Spike's bug-crewed UFO thingy?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oooh, AV Club has a series where people go back and review classic series, ep by ep on DVD.

If you haven't seen their Buffy reviews, it's quite fun to see an unspoiled person going through the series. I know some of you folks are rewatching so it might be fun to check in with them.

But they just announced some new shows added to their classic reviews including Batman: The Animated Series. Cool beans!

(They're also doing Undeclared.)
