What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

D is for Daredevil

Yay!

K is for Kid Flash (a semi-repeat of F, but in the TT animated-verse he's SO FRICKIN' ADORABLE)

K is for Kal-El?

L is for Longshot.

U is for Uatu the Watcher. Heh.

Z is clearly for Zatanna.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

K is for Krypto

I had to look up Zatanna. If Wikipedia is any indication, she has the most buoyant boobs I've ever seen. And I used to have a subscription to Heavy Metal.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Not familiar with Power Girl? Though that is a hell of a picture.

Paul Dini's doing a new Zatanna book I was thinking about checking out, since he knows his lady magicians. But I think Grant Morrison is sucking up enough of my money right now.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

So I splurged this weekend, and bought the Wednesday Comics omnibus.

The thing that stood out for me is that I never realized how influential Chris Ware has gotten, even in the mainstream. The difference between Joe Kubert's old school art and layout and everyone else's was striking.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ha! I can't walk into the comics shop without bitching about Ware's pernicious influence on Clowes.

Oh well, at least Los Bros are keeping their standard 9 block page.

Heh. That's an amazingly specific form of Tourette's!

Practically OCD since I almost always say it exactly like that, "Goddamit, look at the pernicious influence of Chris Ware on Clowes' work!"

Well, Chris Ware has been perniciously influenced by Clowes' cynicism (nsm with the humor), so it all balances out.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Really? I always thought Ware was pretty bleak to start with.
