Ooh, I found Brad Meltzer's first
Buffy
issue rather enjoyable. It was fun and cute, and the
dig at Joss's love of Kitty Pryde
was amusing. And while I wasn't really on board with
Buffy having fucking superpowers,
the scenes were entertaining, and the
fact that she's gaining power from dead Slayers
is pretty cool and interesting.
Also, while I almost always prefer Jo Chen's painted covers, the variant cover is awesome.

Oooh, nice bit of iconography.
And Buffy's earned that comparison.

Yeah, I usually go for the Chen covers but there are a few where I just had to go for the alternate (the Harmony issue comes to mind of the top of my head).
Posting here as I'm not sure where we actually discuss webcomics.
I'm ridiculously tempted to tag the opening line of today's Sluggy Freelance: [link]
but I haven't actually seen Avatar yet.

That was a good one as well.

Aw. I used to read Sluggy, but then I fell behind. Haven't read it in years. Nice to see it's still going. Hey, Torg! How ya doin'?

Loved the
Tick
reference. And
Dawn and Amy both having the same belated realization of what Buffy and Xander were doing.
And Dawn's
repeated cries of "Monkey's Paw!"
For those who might have missed this month's issue of "Mighty Avengers":
Moonstone: "I've been 'reality-punched'? That's the stupidest @#%* thing I've ever heard of."
Victor - I don't follow that comic but that's one of the funniest @#%* things I've read is a while.
The new DC Animated series Young Justice League will reportedly include Martian Girl, Aqualad, Nightwing, Impulse, Arrowette, and Connor Kent.
