OK, I consider that a helluva recommendation. What do you think of the other Ellis work you've read (in terms of comparison)?
Generally a fan -- love me some Planetary, and his run on StormWatch/the Authorty was awesome. Sometimes he puts out stories where he's mostly going through the motions, but even those tend to be more fun than your average comics, so whattaya gonna do?
But Transmet .. man. I have a love the size of all outdoors for that comic, in all it's bitter, cynical, sarcastic glory. In fact, I have a Spider Jerusalem action figure on my computer, and somewhere I have a picture Darick Robertson drew me of Jerusalem pointing an accusing finger and shouting, "Tell the truth, damn it!" I usually end up re-reading it every year or two, all the way through.

One of these years, Pete will finally give into my pestering and dress up as Spider Jerusalem for Halloween. It will be perfect.
He has the scalp and the cranky attitude -- what's stopping him?

He feels he is not in shape enough to dress up as Spider. I keep telling him that he should go as the winter version of Spider (from the one-shot storyline where he ends up attacking the Filthy Assistants with some sort of snowball killing machine). I even offered to dress up as Yelena. (Plei said she'd pay folding money to see this.)
Marvel calendar match-up, February edition:
WOLVERINE
vs.
MS. MARVEL
Fight! (I will note that Ms. Marvel does not appear to need pants. Or more than half a shirt.)
I thought of him today. I saw a pickup with a Calvin in cowboy gear pissing on some random logo sticker and his recluseness came to mind.
I always expected some other work from BW. Not necessarily a comic strip, but something. But if he said all he wanted to say, more power to him, and kudos for knowing when that moment was.
So how much does Dan DiDio suck? [link]
Just hovering over the link made me throw up in my mouth a little. Do I even want to click it?
