Yay Bloom County!
This month's Buffy didn't really stand out for me. It felt more like an episode of Doctor Who. Half an episode even.
I also picked up Obama/Spider-Man. Major disappointment. It's not a whole issue, more like 4 pages. I guess I'm glad I have it. It is cool to have the image of Obama and Spidey doing the terrorist fist bump.
It felt more like an episode of Doctor Who.
Ha, that's true. Maybe that's why I liked it.
Powers
series!
FX just said goodbye to one badass detective, but it's in the market for another one.
Comics author Brian Michael Bendis said at last week's New York Comic-Con that he's finished a pilot script based on his and Michael Avon Oeming's series Powers. That the project "is in active development" at the cable channel, Bendis tells MTV's Splash Page blog.

ETA: Contains a big SPOILER if you're not caught up on the comic. (Thanks Jess.)
Ooh!
I still need to catch up on that series. The trades are expensive.
AWESOME.
Pretty huge spoiler in there for anyone who hasn't read the books yet, btw.
I wonder what this is referring to:
Bendis sounds optimistic about the prospects for a series, though. He tells Splash Page that he's waiting for notes from FX, but "as long as they don't involve sock puppets and some sort of orgy scene that I'm not interested in, then hopefully it will go in the right direction."
To me it sounds like Farscape, but that didn't begin as a graphic novel so maybe not.
Pretty huge spoiler in there for anyone who hasn't read the books yet, btw.
Yeah, I was all what the hell about that. Luckily, that's the last storyline I read.

I
was
going to comment on the cards you linked to, Tom, but your tagline distracted me.

The alt-text of Rorschach's is the best part.
