Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Pay no attention to the scandalous rumors that people spread about me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Apparently Peter David got LJ's scans_daily shut down for copyright violation of ToS. And their policy of posting no more than 5 pages from a given comic was supposed to mitigate that, being more of a tease than a satisfaction.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Heh, I went to Wikipedia 'cause I don't know who Peter David is and it told me...

Peter Allen David (often abbreviated PAD) (born September 23, 1956[1]) is an American writer, best known for killing the scans_daily community on LiveJournal.

Well, X-Factor goes in the trash heap as of today. Fuck you very much, Peter David.

IIRC, he's the one who got in a snit because of negative comments about his comic on Scans_Daily. Someone didn't like it, and, in a shocking twist, posted a strongly worded comment, including "DIAF" (die in a fire, which I hadn't heard before).

Peter David got really angry and posted in that thread and showed that (1) he doesn't understand Internet culture, and (2) that he's a pissy douche.

t edit Apparently Peter David just hates the internet, because "The internet seems to exist almost solely to provide major revelations and thus take the element of surprise out of the writer's hands and ultimately be harmful to comics."

Seriously?

Everyone knows the Interent exists for people to post pictures of their cats.

And porn.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

ION, looks like DC animation is following up Wonder Woman with a Green Lantern movie: [link]

Acclaimed actor Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) fills the lead voice of Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern. Meloni is joined by fellow Emmy Award nominee Victor Garber (Milk, Alias) as the villainous Sinestro, Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) as the voice of Boodikka, and Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs) as Kilowog.

Green Lantern: First Flight finds Hal Jordan recruited to join the Green Lantern Corps and placed under the supervision of respected senior Lantern Sinestro. The earthling soon discovers his mentor is actually the central figure in a secret conspiracy that threatens the philosophies, traditions and hierarchy of the entire Green Lantern Corps. Hal must quickly hone his newfound powers and combat the treasonous Lanterns within the ranks to maintain order in the universe.

I feel like someone should inform him that the lenses on mirrorshade sunglasses are supposed to face outward.
