Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm looking to collect Buffy S8 in graphic novel form. Where does this fall? The beginning?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That's the second trade, ita.

This is the first trade, and this is the third trade, which just came out.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I've just got to get this out of the way about Buffy:

OMG, Buffy killed Willow!!!!

And,

Riley is part Twilight!!! Not really too surprised by that. After all, the military is involved. I don't care if they filled the Initiative caves in, collective stupidity never goes away. It's like the root system of that giant fungus under the midwest.

I'm still a little confused as to just why Future!Willow felt Buffy needed to be killed. I'm going to have to go back and reread all the Fray crossovers. The gap between issues has made things hazy. It's just not making sense to me.

It's just not making sense to me.

Same here. I need to reread the whole story arc.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Sail, I think you have the wrong person that Willow felt was in need of killing. She told Melika and her sister that to arrange events, but everything seemed designed to put Buffy in the position of having to kill her .

My reading of that is the same as Matt's.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I thought about that. It just seems kind of strange to me to arrange suicide by slayer. And why Buffy? Did Willow think Melaka couldn't do it? And how'd she end up evil, again! Aargh. Most of all, why put Buffy through that? Knowing she'd have to go back and face the still-live Willow?

There are just too many questions that I can't see any answers to from previous episodes and I don't know that they'll be answered in the future. Unless Joss plans to keep this running for a very long time.

I figure we'll get the answer at some point - seems like that was far too much trouble to go to unless it had to be Buffy for some reason .
