Hello, my comic-loving friends. I'm putting together a blog of graphic novels with an epidemic/apocalyptic theme for my final YA Lit project and thought I'd get input from you all. It is most definitely a work in progress, but I'd love any feedback: other titles that would fit the theme, other cool links to include, any old thing. Here it is: [link]
ETA: The goal is also to point readers who enjoyed a particular book to other books they might enjoy. The book that I'm using as book x is Y the Last Man (loves it!).
Looks like you're missing The Walking Dead, which is post-zombie apocalypse. Written by Robert Kirkman. I haven't read it, but the people at my comic book store recommend it a lot.
Y the Last Man rules! As you know.
Added! Thanks P-C.
No problem! It was one that was clearly missing, although a reader pointed out to me that it's not exactly appropriate for a YA audience.
Also, according to Wikipedia, the artist changed a few issues in, so you may want to include that in your tags.
Glamcookie, you should really go back and look at the original "Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth" stories by Jack Kirby. A little kitsch now, but still fun.
Ooh, sounds cool! Thanks!
I just started reading Y: The Last Man a few days ago. Yes, it rules, though not quite as much as Ex Machina!
