I'm not even really talking about grammar, just elision. That's how we got contractions, you know. Plus, I was coming from a descriptive perspective, not proscriptive. I LOOOOVE dialects and accents.

For completeness' sake - I went back and reread latest Buffy w/ an eye for the slang... I found "histry" as the closest example of something similar, but that's pretty much how the word is pronounced anyway.
Hmm. I think I know just the Buffista to talk to about this mystery.
Buffy 17...... woah (I know I'm really late to this party.
I had to re-read Fray before I jumped into this arc.
Getting ready to start Spike After the Fall. Hope it doesn't suck.
Oooh I just had a happy thought...
Super Giles comes back, that would be cool.
That would be cool!
(I just read the issue. . . still have Angel and Spike to go.)
Preview of Buffy #18
I'm not crazy about the art, especially Xander and Dawn. Also, is Joss just seeing how much he can possibly fuck with Dawn before people get sick of it? Because I was over the whole giant thing about 4 issues in.
Oh! And I want to make "There's no need to swear like a nerd" my tagline, but I guess I have to wait.
When is 18 dropping?
The Angel/Spike schedule is off from what I put on my calendar so now I'm a bit paranoid.
Teppy! I loved that line too. Hee.
I think 18 comes out next month. . .
Yes, #18 comes out September 3. #19 will come out October 1 Except for rare occasions, the Buffy comics always come out the first Wednesday of each month. One of these exceptions is #20, which will come out November 26. The delay is because they had to wait until an artist they especially wanted for the issue (Eric Wight) was available.
I don't think IDW does normal schedules for their comics, other than "monthly," which is why Angel and Spike seem to come out on random weeks. Dark Horse at least tries keep a normal schedule.
