Sorry, there will be no replacing Monsieur Mallah by Gorilla Grodd in my heart for best mentally enhanced non-human primate supervillain. Doom Patrol did the best characterization of him and The Brain that I still remember, even when Gorilla Grodd shows up. The funny thing there are enough mentally enhanced non-human primate supervillains to make that actual category.

Saw the cover but have avoided the actual titles. Last year I got burned out/annoyed with the whole buildup to Final Crisis and withdrew to reading things that were crossover lite for the time being.
But the image of Gorilla Grodd smacking around Monsieur Mallah's with THe Brain briancase is pretty precious...

Fuck. I went out to lunch with him when I worked at Fantagraphics. Nice guy, great artist. I bought a lot of comics just for his covers.

Yeah, I hear you, though "Salvation Run" is actually self-contained. It could be better, but on the whole, it's a fun-enough read.
