I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

Other Media 2: It's Astounishing!

Discussion of comics, graphic novels, and more. Except for capes. No capes!

Please use spoiler font for new releases until after the weekend following release.

Tom Scola - Dec 20, 2007 11:37:15 am PST #1103 of 5059
Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

I read that as "Soft Core graphic novel".

Hayden - Dec 20, 2007 11:38:49 am PST #1104 of 5059
aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

If it's soft core, it's probably not too graphic.

Ailleann - Dec 20, 2007 11:50:22 am PST #1105 of 5059
vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

It'll probably still suck though.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I think that can only be implied in softcore.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Wait, Drew's writing a Buffy/Fables/Sandman crossover?

And if Willow is Gojira and Xander is Gamera, who exactly, is King Kong?

Strega - Dec 20, 2007 6:56:18 pm PST #1108 of 5059

And if Willow is Gojira and Xander is Gamera, who exactly, is King Kong?

1. I love the nerdtasticness of this question.
2. Oddly enough, I think the answer is: Oz.

Laga - Dec 20, 2007 9:33:11 pm PST #1109 of 5059
You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Does that make Buffy Mothra?

Frankenbuddha - Dec 21, 2007 3:23:50 am PST #1110 of 5059
"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

And if she is, who are the twins?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Think Anya and Tara singing backup together.

I finally picked up Astounishing today (what? It's a busy time of year). "What else have you been lying to me aobut?" Heh. Heh, heh, heh. That was awe. some. And what everyone else said. And thanks for that bit of comic book history, Victor, because that phrasing ("To me, my X-men.") made me tilt my head - and realize I was probably missing something historicalish.

I'm still kind of meh on Angel: AtF, but I am enjoying Connor. I don't think I like the Gunn story, and the soul thing. I'm tired of the soul/no soul thing and all of that.
