Liefeld is one reason I fled the world of superhero comics screaming. It really seems that somebody tried to explain perspective to him once, and he never bothered to actually investigate it any further.

To me it looks like he's trying to channel the very worst of Barry Smith's work on X-Men and Avengers, like this old X-Men panel. His faces are a lot like Smith's, too, especially the way the eyes never seem to be in sync.

I don't know if anyone else is watching, but the CW's Saturday shows The Batman and The Legion of Superheroes have both been terrific this year.
