I'm liking LSH, but damn, did they give Shrinking Violet an annoying voice.

What time is it on? We're just hitting the point where Saturday cartoons are an option for morning entertainment.
They're on at 11:00 and 11:30 in NY, but typically, the Saturday morning schedules for CW affiliates vary widely.

Yeah, but I like this version of the character better than almost any of her other incarnations.
Jon, I read that they're going into a third printing of the first issue of Angel.
"Angel: After the Fall" -- On the whole, I enjoyed it, but was a little disoriented what with the Wesley ghost!?! And was that Gunn as a vampire on the last page? And hey! I guess Nina didn't get out of town after all! And ... ElectroGwen? Really? Kewl. And OK, Spike next issue. Where's Illyria? And L.A.'s in Hell? Huh. And, and, and ...
I'm, dizzy. You spend so much time trying to rectify what happens in the comic with where the characters were the last we saw them, that it's hard to get your bearings into it. In a lot of ways, it was like the first episode of "Heroes" this season: The whole "Four Months Later" thing wasn't bad, per se, but it became kind of an unnecessary distraction. Whereas the time gap in "Buffy" did OK. It didn't feel like anything was missing, even though our favorite story elements weren't in play. It was clear they just weren't needed at that very moment. We knew they'd be along soon enough.
So, I don't know. I think "Angel" can grow on me. I'm definitely convinced it's going somewhere. I just have no idea where.
Huh. So we moved a bunch of boxes up to the main part of the house today, thanks to a flooding basement and us taking precautions. I haven't really started going through the boxes yet, but in the one I just pawed through (because it had a couple of obscure 90s goth magazines at the top) contained a Bill Sienkiewicz Vampires and the Undead art portfolio, and issue 1 of Alan Moore's Lost Girls from Kitchen Sink Press.
I'm assuming I should be able to sell that issue of Lost Girls to some fervent collector.
HMOG, no comments on the most recent Buffy? I LOVE the idea of Faith and Giles as a Slayer!Avengers combo so much I can't even articulate it. Hell, give them their own spin-off dammit!
Totally, Frank- that's some good stuff right there!!!
Re: Angel After the Fall -
Okay, I totally missed the Gunn being a vampire thing. I'm actually grateful for that b/c the panel where Gunn gets all suggestive with the girls who've been, one presumes, sex slaves, kind of sent me into a frothing rage at the OOC-ness of it. But still, the preview for the next one showed Spike surrounded by scantily-clad females of various species and that just doesn't ring true. He's Mr. Love's Bitch, not Mr. Loves Bitches.
I know Joss isn't writing this one, I don't know how much creative control he has, but I was disappointed to see that kind of stuff in something that has his name on it. Don't mean to harsh anyone's squee... I'm going to give A:AtF another shot, but I'm feeling a bit wary about it. Gender stuff is frequently a "make or break" issue for me, but I know and respect that it isn't for everyone. Especially in comics, heh.
I was chuffed to see that I was right about Wes having a perpetuity contract. Wonder if we'll see Lindsey pop back up.
Re: Buffy - Frankenbuddha, I would totally dig a spinoff with Giles and Faith. I wonder if he'd revert to Ripper, somwhat, since he wouldn't be playing a mentor role anymore.
Lordy, I hope I did all that spoiler font right.
