Unfortunately, I gotta agree with you, Frank, even though I don't want to. Buffy's my gal! I don't like to think of her as so petty-minded, even though I know she can be. Sigh. I'm all for bringing the funny back with the mangled language and the shallow fashion details, but I don't want to see her regress emotionally to high school. It's blowed up, again!

I read over at Whedonesque that Angel: After the Fall #1 has already gone to a second printing despite it not being out 'til after Thanksgiving.
It'll be interesting to see if it sells that well to the general public, sumi. The stores are obviously thinking it could do another Buffy.
chrismg, thanks for the Anya-esque recap, especially the line about creepy older men making you have important conversations in the nude. *claps*
Did anyone else read the letter asking who kissed Buffy in issue #3, with the reply that the answer was revealed already? I went back and looked at #3 again and can only conclude that it might have been Xander, but it's really not clear at all. Any other theories?

I kind of figured it was whoever was wearing the billowy coat that we only saw from the back, not sure if that was supposed to be Angel or Spike. I also figured that Willow knew he was there and that is why she said what she did.
Check out what Buffy says immediately upon waking, and see if it rings any bells with something mentioned about another character.

Buffy yells "Cinnamon buns!" when she wakes up, and then later that issue (or maybe in the next issue) she borrows lip balm from one of the other Slayers, and when she uses it, she says, "Cinnamon..."
We're supposed to assume that the kiss-er is that Slayer.
Oh, you guys are totally right. I'd forgotten about the cinnamon thing.

I missed that.
