Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2006: You're ON THE LIST!!!

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2006? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

I sent mine out on the 29th, so hopefully it will arrive at the recipient's early this week.

Thrive to spite them

I haven't sent mine out because I saw something online that looked just right (and hopefully the recipent will think it was worth the wait). So I'm waiting for that to get here and as soon as it does everything will be bundled together and taken to the post office.

So, if you have my name and haven't sent anything out yet don't feel bad I'm a slacker santa as well.

I\'m waiting for something to arrive so that I can send it. Of course, I could have ordered it earlier, but that\'s what slacking is all about.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Beej, is it possible that he wasn't as tired as you thought he was, and therefore he didn't feel the urgency. I mean, if I know someone is worried about me, I'm much more likely to remember to call than if it's a random "call me when you get home"

Vortex, he was way melodramatic about the tired, wobbling around and such. Plus, it was his suggestion to call. I expressed enough concern to suggest he not drive home. I've never done the random call me when you get there thing because I didn't want to come off as the worrying type. And seriously, if he hadn't been all droopy eyed, and it hadn't been raining, and he hadn't left his phone here, it wouldn't even have occured to me to worry at all.

That is the sticking point for me...I feel like my karmic mission today is to just let it go...but I'm not yet succeeding.

Our wings are not tired.

Hee, well we can Bitch in this thread as long as it is 2006 at fault.

After fretting for a couple weeks, I received my package back, somewhat crunched from its travels. The address has been fixed and it is on its way again, but this time I was clever enough to print the label on line where I could get a tracking number. Post Office remains on The List!

My whole relationship with Fela has been nearly contained by 2006...so I guess it applies.

I've deemed 2007 "The year for fun and profit!" It needs a perky smile and a pocket protector or summat.

I got mine! I got mine!

The lovely Maria sent me a necklace, which I was wearing around the house this afternoon, even though it was a little fancy for a t-shirt and sweat pants. She also worked to help me solve my purse dilemma with with a convertible backpack purse.

As usual, she rocks.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Hooray! I'm glad you liked it. The necklace is amber, though it doesn't have any bug parts. I tried, but was foiled time and time again. I hope the backpack purse is big enough to hold all of your stuff.

Were the chocolate pumpkin caramels and fuzzy Santa monkey in there? I couldn't resist the monkey. We can all use more monkey, especially one in a Santa suit.

edited because could does not equal couldn't

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I sent mine out on the 29th, so hopefully it will arrive at the recipient's early this week.

It did indeed! I got a nicely themed little package: a big lovely Santa hat, but in more of a rich Ghost-Of-Christmas-Present russet than the stop-sign red most Santa hats come in, a little brass candlestick of just the sort that Jack most likely nimbly jumped over and also the sort that any number of Dickens characters carried as they tottered out in their nightclothes to investigate that mysterious moaning outside the door, a yummy scented candle that had me briefly searching the package for candy (and by whose light I am now typing this), and a gorgeous 1925 reprint of a 1914 edition of A Christmas Carol with watercolor illustrations by Honor Appleton (the linked image isn't actually in the book, but it's the most Christmas Carol-like bit of her art I could find online).

I love it all! I have so much Dickens, but somehow I never actually owned an illustrated copy of A Christmas Carol before, and this one is lovely! Go team Slacker Matt! Thank you!
