Wow, you've really mastered the power of positive giving-up.

Goodbye and Good Riddance 2006: You're ON THE LIST!!!

Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Christmukkah, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Oh, and 2006? Don't think we've forgotten about you.

All is well that ends in pizza.

but don't we usually keep it open until everyone has been gifted?

Indeed. I hereby rescind my ersatz goal of 500. it was moot anyway.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Package has been sent! My santee should receive it early next week. Apologies for the appalling lateness.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Package received -- Thank you Ouise!

Ouise sent me one gift for each month that's passed since Xmas.

December: A comic novel "Lux the Poet" by Martin Millar. I'd never heard of it, but the reviews make it look very promising.

January: A pretty beeswax candle. I'm not one for perfumed candles, so beeswax is perfect!

February: a blue glazed pottery cup handmade by Ouise -- Pretty!

March: A bar of dark chocolate with hazelnuts. My favorite!

April: a CD by Hopeful Monster, a Haligonian band I've never heard of. Pretty good at first listen, even if I didn't hear the promised theremin.

May: A pretty seashell glazed with stripes in various shades of blue.

This was totally worth the wait!!! Thanks again!!!!1!

t sits back and waits to hear from Kate.

Yay! I'm so glad I finally managed to get it to you. The theremin is on “Daily Electric” (I'm not sure if there's some on any other tracks).

I also recently discovered that Martin Millar was a huge Buffy fan. He also has a free download of his Tank Girl novel from the Miscellaneous page of his website. I've downloaded it but haven't read it yet.

Merry Christmas!

I forgot to mention that there was loose glitter in the box (maybe off the card?) that found its way onto my face, stuck onto my 5 o'clock shadow. It provided amusement for FAQwife all evening.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Kate, did you ever get a present?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

KateP is mine and its in my apt. somewhere (and explicitly wintery which is why I haven't torn the place apart looking for it recently) She and I have emailed about her copious neglect.

Okay then. Unless I hear otherwise, I'm gonna go ahead and close this thread.
