Sir? I'd like you to take the helm, please. I need this man to tear all my clothes off.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Congratulations on the twins! Very exciting news.

Yeah, those 3D imaging babyscans are Fuh-reaky.

Happy birthday, shrift! I hope you got a carton of cigarettes, a bottle of whiskey and cupcake.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I've been craving bacon since all the talk this weekend. So, today, on my day off, I made bacon and eggs and biscuits and oj and coffee for breakfast (okay, yes, I realize that it is almost lunch time here. I slept in and lazed about before making breakfast). Yum!

Happy Birthday, shrift!

Congratulations, Kat & Lori!

Also, the fetal specialist always burns a DVD of his ultrasounds.

Some friends of mine got a DVD of their ultrasound for their (now two years old) son, and brought it over to show people. It was astonishingly beautiful.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Some friends of mine got a DVD of their ultrasound for their (now two years old) son, and brought it over to show people.

I managed to shock my grandmother by sending out my first US pics over email. (In her words, "People of my generation did not send out their scans!")

Happy Birthday, Shrift!!

Big Congrats (times two!) to Kat and Lori!!!

In completely other news (political), this rocks:

Rep.-elect Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, found himself under attack last month when he announced he'd take his oath of office on the Koran -- especially from Virginia Rep. Virgil Goode, who called it a threat to American values.

Yet the holy book at tomorrow's ceremony has an unassailably all-American provenance. We've learned that the new congressman -- in a savvy bit of political symbolism -- will hold the personal copy once owned by Thomas Jefferson.

Very smart move, Congressman Ellison!

Somehow, I don't think Glen Beck or Dennis Prager or any of those other idiots will give a rat's ass.

What is even happening?

Happy Birthday, shrift!!!

Heh. My sad family news was a call from Tim that one of the beagles had run away and was missing for hours. It was cold and rainy and Harrison is not very bright.
So Tim was beside himself and plastering the hood with pics of Harrison. I feared the worst.
He got a call the next morning, a pet grooming place found him wandering the corner of Western and Hollywood - meaning he got across two very busy streets- and picked him up. They put him in a crate(!) and Tim ran down and found him snoozing contentedly in the crate.

Ooof, Allyson. Poor Tim! I'm glad he found Harrison (bad beagle, no biscuit), and that it had not one thing to do with the Kat o' lori babes.

It was this moment of squee, then worry, made really weird-uncomfortable-uncertain, because I knew I shouldn't know anything, and wasn't sure I did.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Somehow, I don't think Glen Beck or Dennis Prager or any of those other idiots will give a rat's ass.

Yeah, but it gives a good way to spin this.

"Are you saying Thomas Jefferson is a threat to America's values?"
