Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Feet, rather than fists, the most dangerous bodily weapon

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Hardly surprising, given (a) legs much stronger than arms and (b) shoes.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Kat!!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hmm. I'd like to see the raw numbers for that survey. I wonder how many times someone tried to use feet and fucked up--it does introduce more of a balance issue.

Also, are we talking kicks from distance, or stomping on the head of someone we've managed to get on the ground, or what? Unless you fight the whole fight with one weapon, the results are misleading.

If I were to pick, I'd pick elbows--but that assumes the fight has gotten close. I wouldn't come in close just for the opportunity to use them. But once you do? Very good risk:payoff ratio.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Next, they should do a study on what kind of shoe does the most damage.

Golf shoes?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Most kicks are going to happen with the top of the shoe, or the toe, so what's happening on the sole has less effect. Also, once you get to stomping, cleats et al are just gravy. The meat is the crushing and breaking.

Stilettos could be cool--just that the rest of the fight in them would suck.

I'd go with steel toed boots.

eta: Was there a new Grey's last night?

In a stomping situation a spike heel could probably do some serious damage. Kicking would require a heavier shoe with a hard toe.

or ... what ita said.

The internets hates me today.

And someone is cooking something in the microwave that smells like burning rubber.

And OH HOLY CRAP I have a lot to do in the next 4 days. I've been in denial, thinking it wasn't that bad. It is. Oh yes, it is.

Thrive to spite them

Survivor - Yul rubbing the mud off his torso was a thing of beauty. Mom and I were both drooling. And we agreed that Jonathan was surprisingly hot -- his eyes were amazing. I have a feeling Ozzy is going to run the immunity challenges so I expect to see him and Yul. Unless Ozzy worries that he couldn't beat Yul in the votes and tries to vote him off, but I don't see that happening.
