All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

In a stomping situation a spike heel could probably do some serious damage. Kicking would require a heavier shoe with a hard toe.

or ... what ita said.

The internets hates me today.

And someone is cooking something in the microwave that smells like burning rubber.

And OH HOLY CRAP I have a lot to do in the next 4 days. I've been in denial, thinking it wasn't that bad. It is. Oh yes, it is.

Thrive to spite them

Survivor - Yul rubbing the mud off his torso was a thing of beauty. Mom and I were both drooling. And we agreed that Jonathan was surprisingly hot -- his eyes were amazing. I have a feeling Ozzy is going to run the immunity challenges so I expect to see him and Yul. Unless Ozzy worries that he couldn't beat Yul in the votes and tries to vote him off, but I don't see that happening.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Was there a new Grey's last night?

Nope. It was the Denny's Dad and Izzy's check and Meredith's appy rerun. And I had missed the part where she tells Derek and Finn that George is an excellent kisser. And I'm sad cause now I'll never know.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Grey's was a repeat.

And steel-toed boots are a classic.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've had cows step on my feet, both when I was wearing steel-toed boots and not. It does make a difference.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Mythbusters did a segment on whether steel-toed shoes would amputate that end of your foot if there was a sufficient shearing force. Their conclusion was that it would, but most likely the shearing force involved would be sufficient to amputate that part of your foot without a steel-toe protection. Conclusion: wear them in any situation where they might be a good idea....

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I finally got the CBS streaming play to show me all of last night's Survivor. Looks like Sunday finally sees Yul, Becky, Sundra and Ozzy having problems. But it's inevitable in the game. I think Jonathan has probably been the most pragmatic player they've had yet. Well, maybe not pragmatic -- he's made some pretty dubious decisions -- but he's one of the few players to really take the "I'm here to win this game, and I don't really take anything personally, and nobody else should take what I do personally" attitude. I think that attitude only works if more other players feel that way, but then CBS doesn't get the manufactured drama they want, or if you make smarter decisions.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ABC's streaming player took so long to get working for me...and then I realise there was no new GA. The internet sucks for me today.

Shearing with steel toed boots--was that a downward force on the toe that would take the reinforced toe and amputate the end of your foot?

I'd highly recommend them for any sort of kicking--especially if you're me and have markedly inflexible ankles and therefore have difficulty curling your toes back to present the ball of the foot as a striking surface.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I saw some Survivor "process" spoiler info, if anyone wants it: Apparently it doesn't go down to a final two, but a final three. FYI.
