Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

ita, you've been talking of how your shoulders are bigger. Um...do you want to show them off? And, you're taller than me, right?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

In my head I'm not taller than you, but you keep insisting you're shorter than 5'8, don't you?

Yeah, I have no issues showing off my shoulders. Trying to hold back on the boobies, but everything else is fair game.

I have a dress. If you scroll down to the picture of me and meara, that's the dress. I know you are a lot thinner than me, but the dress is jersey and a Ralph Lauren medium, I think. Might be a large. Anyway, it can be worn with the "sleeves" up or off the shoulder. It's only been worn a handful of times and was dry cleaned after each wear. If you wanted to borrow it, I'd be more than happy to lend it.

Hee. I might be 5'8".

Also, if it's not your thing or you don't want to borrow, you won't hurt my feelings.

Much.

Dear lord, that's a lovely dress. You look marvellous in it. Tell you what--I'm going to do a more thorough assessment of what fits and what doesn't to see how badly off I am. Give me a couple days and I'll get back to you.

Okey dokey.

And thank you. meara picked it out. I never would have even considered it, but she pushed it on me. I wanted the black satin 50's style cocktail dress. She said, "No".

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

This is so very painfully pretty.

It is. I would buy it right now, except that it's only 38" long. It's almost 40" from my waist to the floor, and if I wore heels (heh, I typed "hells"), it would not sweep the floor dramatically as it was meant to do. I'm bookmarking it anyway.

I'm always so amused to see how similar and yet how VERY different our fashion woes are. My version of the above is, "It is. I would buy it right now, except that it's 38" long. Even if I wore heels, it would not sweep the floor dramatically as it was meant to do. It would instead mop up the floor and trip me as I attempted to hike up up enough to walk. I'm bookmarking it anyway."

Yeah, but at least you can have it trimmed. I can't make up material out of thin air!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Whereas I looked at it and said "Huh. Very pretty, except it looks like the pleats are stitched down too far for me to fit a petticoat (or three) under it. Oh well."

ION, holy crap, it's cold outside! We hiked up to a local cafe for lunch, and then went to the grocery store for some supplies. My ears are still numb. However, ankle-length skirts petticoats, and wool tights kept my legs warm.
