I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

I'm going to risk wrath of the Buffistas and not! So far, looks like the puppy-liking Steele(R) is losing the senate race. Of course, I learned my lesson well in 2000 and will not draw conclusions until all the ballots are accounted for.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Maybe it's the cheap pinot grigio, but I could swear MSNBC's showing Steele(R) losing with 57% of the vote.

Evidently I should switch to whiskey.

Ann, that's a ferret.

VA Senate: Allen has a narrow lead. But they're saying most of the not-yet-reported precincts are in NoVa. Except the 8th District -- the northernmost part of NoVa has virtually finished reporting.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I realized how scarred I am from the 2004 election, because I went to bed all hopeful, and woke up to disaster. And I mean that literally, even if at the time I thought it was only figuratively.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, I gotta stop watching the ever changing numbers for a little while.

I don't understand projections. For example, CNN projected Lieberman to win. But now, 30 minutes later, it's Lieberman 45% and Lamont 45% with 11% of the precincts reporting.

Theodosia, I'm actually trying to avoid election results. Hubs insists on watching. So I'm holed up with the computer, which isn't helping.

I may just insist on the TV with the TiVo, so I can watch one of the previously recorded movies.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

For example, CNN projected Lieberman to win. But now, 30 minutes later, it's Lieberman 45% and Lamont 45% with 11% of the precincts reporting.

I think it's based on what they expect to see versus what they saw. Like, in New York, if upstate was leaning toward a Democrat state-wide, it would be a good bet that they'd win, since the city is so Democratic.

I'm basing off of what is running on the bottom of my screen during The Unit. So.....

CNN is calling Whitehouse over Chafee.
