"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I pay 31%, with two flatmates. If I were to try to live alone, I think I'd be a lot closer to 45%.

I was just telling a neighbor: with 2 flatmates, I am totally okay with cable + internet = $90. Paying that by myself? I might end up cable-free.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

So I get paid $0.02 more each month!

Seven-and-a-half cents doesn't buy a hell of a lot,
Seven-and-a-half cents doesn't mean a thing.
But give it to me every hour,
Forty hours every week,
That's enough for me to be
Livin' like a king!

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

So does the conversation between two conservative coworkers talking about the evils of socialized medicine and "cut and run" qualify as workplace harassment?

Speaking of saving, I need to get around to buying a Chicago Card, because saving 50¢ a day eventually leads to something significant.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Also, for Buffistas who rent: approximately how much of your monthly income do you spend on rent? And how much is too much?

I pay 30% of my monthly take-home in rent. Which works pretty well, it's the 20% on gas that kills me.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Mine is almost exactly a third of my take home, maybe a smidge more. Why the hell am I so broke all the time?

More than that if you have to transfer busses, or take a bus and a train. And I love not having to worry about reloading it.

Totally. The 30-Day Pass is tempting me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Cookery types--if I use sour cream instead of yoghurt when making banana bread, what are the likely effects? Should I bump up the baking powder to compensate for slightly less acidity? Bump up the liquids to compensate for the thicker texture?

I think I'd take "cut and run" over "stay and pray", but I think there are other options.
