Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I just got an email from walk_for_a_cure@naldep.com encouraging me to sponsor Patty and Michelle for a Susan G Komen Walk For The Cure.

I don't know a Patty. Nor a Michelle-who-is-a-cancer-survivor. The naldep.com domain pops up on more than one spam blacklist. The URLs in the email don't go where they say (http://www.the3day.org/Dallas06/pattynall and twosteppintatas.com). The first URL ends up taking you to kintera.org which seems legit, but the second is just a placeholder page.

It rubs me wrong. If I do indeed know a Patricia Nall, there's some uncloaking that needs to be happening.

And if I don't, in light of the whole Marni and breast cancer thing, I am not amused.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I've had a few overly sharp or chipped teeth filed down - it's done with a filing head on the drill and (assuming it's done right) doesn't hurt a bit. Honest.

I can vouch for this on getting overly sharp edges toned down w/out pain. Sound-wise, it's no worse than the drill (and usually lasts a lot less time).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's creepy, ita. Kintera as a thing is legit, but I don't know about the rest of it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, and I didn't mention--the actual destination URLs in the message take you to naldep--cutting and pasting the text quoted above in takes you elsewhere.

A world of not-right.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Announcement: This work thing can bite me.

Analysis: Jesse, can I come visit you again?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Does Rand deserve the Coulterian association? All I know is that her philosophy is wacky, but never heard that she was unusually mendacious or spiteful.

Well, she was, but in Rand's case, that was incidental to her actual career.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

PS to my earlier Rand post: I've been trying to work mendacious into conversation all week.

When you're racing - it's life. Anything that comes before or after is just waiting.

Cass, what venue was the race (i.e. HSR, SCCA, etc)? Paul's been racing for quite some time. In fact, he was still competing in the 24 of Hours of Daytona just a few years back (though his age is starting to show on the track).

Lee, how was Denver? Make it to any good sushi places?

Always Anti-fascist!

Favorite title sequence/themes The Wire(With or without the Waits vocal, although the Waits is significant for being the last music Bob Colesberry ever heard)
Scrubs
The Sopranos
The old-school, grey, scary Homicide credits
Hecubus, thought of you the other day as KO mentioned "bunting" and I pictured a buncha Mets out buying red, white and blue crap to hang on election booths.(yes, I know that ain't right.)
