Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Now I'm earwormed with "Putting on the Ritz."

Me too, except I'm earwormed with the version in Young Frankenstein. Which of course my brain ties back to a Venture Bros. episode. Huh.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Oh, was anyone reminded of The Tick on VB last night? I thought Brock's costume and the way he was shot and animated were references.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't shake the feeling that drinking decaf is pointless, even though I drink like ginger ale or non-caf root beer all the time.

What's the link between ginger ale and decaf?

For me, decaf is pointless because I haven't seen any Blue Mountain decaf I wanted to try, and the only reason I drink coffee other than Blue Mountain is for the caffeine. Which means I don't drink coffee so much as I drink espressos. I like the concentrate.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Oh, was anyone reminded of The Tick on VB last night?

Totally. Particularly "You will be MURDERFLIES!"

I drink ginger ale when it's not appropriate to drink caffeinated soda (after noon, basically). I guess the answer is I'm not enough of a coffee connoisseur to enjoy it just for its own sake.

What is even happening?

I've been earwormed with Rock Lobster for over a week, now. Even the voldemort of earworms has been unable to overcome it. I think I figured out why it's lasted so long, today. When I type in one of my passwords, I have/get Rock Lobster in my head.

Oh, I get it--you're not drinking the ginger ale for the ginger aleishness, but because it's there and won't keep you up late?

I'm no coffee connoisseur either--I tolerate the espresso and enjoy the Blue Mountain, but that's about it.

Luckily and magically and no doubt due to the migraines I'm medicating with the espresso, caffeine keeps me up not one whit. Sleeping after a triple macchiato is no more difficult than sleeping before one.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Have your migraines changed at all (frequency, level of badness) since you've been off work?

Now tagless for your comfort.

I drink ginger ale when it's not appropriate to drink caffeinated soda (after noon, basically).

I'm not familiar with this concept.

Not one bit, sadly.

It would have been nice for a clear demonstration that I was allergic to my boss.

Maybe it'll take a few more days to shake her.
