Now tagless for your comfort.

I drink ginger ale when it's not appropriate to drink caffeinated soda (after noon, basically).

I'm not familiar with this concept.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Not one bit, sadly.

It would have been nice for a clear demonstration that I was allergic to my boss.

Maybe it'll take a few more days to shake her.

I guess the answer is I'm not enough of a coffee connoisseur to enjoy it just for its own sake.

I'm baffled by decaf coffee, non-alcoholic beer, and caffeine-free diet soda, especially since most caffeine-free diet soda tastes like I just got a snootful of kerosene fumes.

For me, the point of these beverages are as caffeine and/or alcohol delivery systems. If I'm not looking for caffeine and/or alcohol in my beverage, I'm going to drink something else. I don't experience any psychosomatic benefits just from the taste alone.

I'm puzzled by the entire concept of beer, since I feel hard liquor is a much more efficient alcohol delivery medium, and can taste better to boot.

I do intermittently taste beer to see if I still think it's nasty, and will always smell a new kind if it's around, but I'll just stick to actually imbibing the rum and the tequila.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I know you're only kidding, but cutting out caffeine after noon has nearly cured years of insomnia.

Anyhoo, I really like ginger ale, actually. But I drink it a lot b/c of the caffeine rule.

I had Smithwick's yesterday (along with some truly yummy bratwurst and apple struedel--Octoberfest special menu at the restaurant), and it was yummy! I have the feeling it's not available in bottled form to drink at home, sad to say, but it was really fine beer, dark but not heavy, like Guinness (as my dad said yesterday, "I hate Guinness, because I don't like beer that I have to chew!").

I like the taste of good beer, and if one could make it without alcohol and it tasted as good as your craft brews, I'd drink it. Alas, the nature of the brewing process means that non-alcholic beer= Teh Nast.

I gravitate toward lower alcohol beers (6% ABV is what I shoot for as a maximum), so that I can drink more of the yumminess without getting shitfaced. Throw in an imperial stout or belgian style or double IPA then I'm pretty much finished when I've only just begun.

A perfect day to me is drinking beer all damn day long. Not to say that I don't enjoy the relaxation and social lubrications the alcohol in a couple of beers brings, but I like the fact that it comes on slower than wine or booze.

I know that I should totally be doing this but by mid afternoon, I keep opening the fridge for one can of "Mommy's Little Helper."

I enjoyed the decaf diet coke when I was pregnant. Once you're already on diet soda, the mixture of chemicals can be pleasant even without the caffeine. And DH will drink a can or two of near beer--which I prefer since he could easily go through a six pack without thinking about it. Which isn't a good thing to do on a daily basis.

Guinness-like beers are the only ones I'll ever seek, and it's been years. Though I'm now craving stout and ice cream.

Smithwicks is available in the US in bottles; I know they have it in MA and CT. I don't know what the midwest distribution is though.

OMG stout weather is coming up! So excited. I'm a little burned out/bored by Guinness, because it's pretty ubiquitous up here, and in most places, one's only stout option on draft. But, properly poured, it is still yummy.
