Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Well, bed had been gotten - it is in BEAUTIFUL shape. His old bunk bed has been dismantled and the new bed is now set-up. His room is a PIT and I refuse to clean it for him. I just moved piles around as needed to get stuff done.

CJ is due home in a couple of hours. I'm looking forward to his reaction as he has NO CLUE.

Daisy Jane. I've always had a rule that if a friend breaks up with someone, the ex-lover is off-limits for a time. How long depends on how serious the involvement was.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Fortunately, I met Nora and Tom for many many beers and yummy food this afternoon, and that was an utter joy. It was fantastic.

I am always here to help, especially when beer is involved. OK, even when beer is not involved. Man, I was SO happy yesterday with the Teppy and the Vermont and the Tom-relaxation, and the beer. I was... I drank a lot of beer, but I wasn't drunk, I was, like *high* off how good it ALL was. (I was also drunk) (But no hangover yay! Thank you giant meal and drinking lots of water before falling asleep!)

We got back to the inn in one piece (because Tom is a very responsible designated driver), had a beer nightcap at the onsite inn pub/brewery, and snuggled down in one of the twin beds in our room and watched "Law and Order: Criminal Intent." Today, we acquired beer (at Long Trail), cheese, and maple syrup (at Sugarbush Farms). Also had a lovely lunch at Simon Pearce in Quechee.

{{Sean and S}}. I will keep hoping that there is an end in sight for you guys with all this health stuff. Hang in there.

ita, I am thinking of you as you are processing all this. I'm sorry.

Daisy, I'm sorry that you are having to deal with the gut-punch.

I had a nap when we got home and I'm still feeling sluggish and irritable. But must go downstairs and get dinner stuff together.

Also, La Tep is SO MUCH FUN AND SO AWESOME like whoa. (starts plotting methods to get her to New England every year).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Probably Las Vegas, Hec.

Sweet! Go to Commander's Palace for brunch. (Make a reservation though, unless you have a movie star in your party.) Best. Breakfast. Ever.

I'm just angry and confused. Can some people just be off limits? That may be unreasonable, and before yesterday I'd have said I want them both to be happy, it would just be nifty if that didn't involve me getting stomped all over.

Well, you always were very close with your exes, Daisy. Maybe there are lines of affinity there that you depended on being open even though they were exes. Clearly on some level you still feel proprietary over your ex.

I've seen Nora in this state. It's fun.

Also, La Tep is SO MUCH FUN AND SO AWESOME like whoa.

It's true.

Heh. Go Nora with the fun and (most importantly) lack of hangover!

Daisy, I have the problem not of dating friends' exes, but my friends who date each other, and then break up. I'm like "OK, i'm a little better friends with A, but I'm ALSO friends with B, and how do I deal with hanging otu with both of them without pissing them both off? Argh!" Definitely better if they had told you they were dating, rather than you walking in on them making out, though. Damn.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I know you all know this, but Sparky1 rocks like the rockingest thing ever, and also just did me a huge favor that's going to make me look very good at work.

I'm a fucking amazing catch!--Fiona Gallagher, Shameless(US)

No movie stars, unless Paulie really did show up. Not exactly the holiday winter wonderland thing I had pictured but a Mafia fangirl ought to visit at least once, right?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Home at last, thank dog. Tiring weekend, mostly good. Traffic getting out of the city was so bad that we pulled over at a cafe for a beer or four (he had a beer, I had four - hey, it was a long week) before we even made it to the freeway.

Helped my sister paint, helped her move, helped her video the cute young Brits who hang out at her new local playing soccer.

Mind you, my help in that vein consisted of coming up with the brilliant notion of filling her Camelbak up with Chardonnay, which made for a much more entertaining game. The video might not have faired as well, since key parts of the game are overlaid with audio of she and I and a friend discussing gay porn, specifically in the context of the cute young Brits on the field, but, whatch'you gonna do?

Our wings are not tired.

La Tep is SO MUCH FUN AND SO AWESOME like whoa

Not surprised. Also would not be surprised to hear that the feeling was mutual. It is so nice to read about all of you getting some chillin' time together.

Sparky1 rocks like the rockingest thing

Another not surprise. Yay for looking good at work with a little help from your friend.

Getting ready to watch the big Miami v Florida State game. With a good book in hand. And junk food! And wine!
