Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

La Tep is SO MUCH FUN AND SO AWESOME like whoa

Not surprised. Also would not be surprised to hear that the feeling was mutual. It is so nice to read about all of you getting some chillin' time together.

Sparky1 rocks like the rockingest thing

Another not surprise. Yay for looking good at work with a little help from your friend.

Getting ready to watch the big Miami v Florida State game. With a good book in hand. And junk food! And wine!

Our wings are not tired.

Fun cool news. Every year the fire department in Otter Lake raffles off a pickup truck to raise funds. The labor day weekend steak bake and awarding of the truck is the biggest event of the year. My cousin won the truck! Granted it would have been cooler if I won, but he is a great guy and deserves good stuff to happen to him.

My mom probably sold him the ticket. They are close and see each other often. Nice guy. He's a dentist with lots of fun hobbies. He's a pilot and he builds sailboats and all kinds of other hobbies. Puts the huge wood pieces in his pool to bend them and stuff. He cracks me up. He was like a little kid with his enthusiasm over the truck. He'd been looking to buy one.

He's a very generous man and I love seeing him get this prize. Whee! I'm all thrilled when good things happen to good people.

eta: My step-dad sent me the pictures of Howard with his new truck giving a thumbs up sign and my mind flashed to Aimee's wrong finger story. Hee.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I mentioned my needing to walk over to TJ's in Natter but I am moving it over here cause the cute boy who worked there and was gone then? There!

And he said hi to me in the aisle and then I all subtle-like made sure I checked out in his line. I'd say he asked for my name and number but it was for a raffle thing. But he could sneak a peak, yes?

He knows I spoil my cat, hey I've got a cat and he's got a cat! It's Meant To Be. Also he's from N. Cal. And has pretty eyes. And he seemed quirky and quipy. Um, I knew some of that from before he disappeared for a while.

Also TJ's had a Kate clone that was joking with another worker who was a verbal Kristin clone. KristinClone threatened laughingly to throw mushrooms at her friend, The KateClone for sneaking up on her. "There's no need to resort to fungus," cause I am nothing if not a smartass. KrClone called down to KateClone to tell her what I had said.

TJ's was a good thing today.

Is that it? Am I done now?

Can some people just be off limits? That may be unreasonable
For me, some people are. Not that it is reasonable or always works but I get the stabby in the gut feeling.
My cousin won the truck!
Whoot!
key parts of the game are overlaid with audio of she and I and a friend discussing gay porn, specifically in the context of the cute young Brits on the field, but, whatch'you gonna do?
Screen caps?

Our wings are not tired.

And yet another reason to want TJ's in Florida. No cute flirty boys in my Publix. No Kristin or Kate clones either. Pout.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

We have a houseful and we are techno nerds. In addition to the normal 5 of our household, K-Bug's boyfriend is here, along with my "nephew" and he new girlfriend. We are watching a movie, and both desktops and both laptops are in use. Wheeeeeeeeeeee!

CJ seemed underwhelmed over his room transformation. He is happy, but just blah in his reaction. Oh well, I'm happy.

He needs to be *more* flirty.

And I can't go back there all gross looking anymore. Thankfully I did have lipstick on, at least.

Oh and I bought flowers for me! Even before I saw CuteBoy. If I didn't have piles of electronic reading to do tonight, I could bask in some happy.

Drat. Those clones keep escaping. I really have to put a new lock on the basement door.

Yay for cute boy, Cass!

He sounds like he has potential, Cass. Keep up that TJ's shopping.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Question for the gardening contingent of the hivemind: Just how dangerous are those tiny, barely visible spines that grow on the leaves and vines of pumpkin or squash plants. I ask because I have a mildly swollen, slightly purplish, hurty spot on my index finger, and the only thing I can think of having done to it lately, is attempting to pick up a pumpkin and/or squash vine out of the lawn while mowing, and it bit me. So I was wondering if it could have some toxin it injected me with, or perhaps there is a tiny, invisible spine still stuck in my finger and causing infection.

No, I don't know why we didn't do anything about the gourd family vines before they started taking over the whole yard.
