It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

We began pre-potty training today. Bought a potty and Pull-Ups. I set up the potty and let Em play with it. She can take it anywhere in the house she wants and when she sits on it, she gets lavishly praised. I've also started taking her into the bathroom and having her sit bare bottomed on her potty while I go and telling her everything I do.

For someone who really has no squicks and has no problem being TMI with pretty much anyone, I found this oddly disconcerting.

BOOK: "River..? Please, why don't you come on out..." RIVER: "No. Can't. Too much hair." - 'Jaynestown'

Sonus, is that where you met ND, at the UMKC theatre seminar thingy? You didn’t happen to be at Fred P. Otts a year? Two? Ago when ND was in town?

Yeah, I live in KC, right on the Plaza. I went to UMKC for English and Ed degrees.

I was indeed at Fred P. Ott's when ND was there...

I'm pretty sure he was there. Was that the night we were talking about the Hello Kitty vibrators?

Oh yeah!! Now I remember! Hah!

Anyhow, Erin, for the last year or so in KC, I lived right accross Brush Creek from Ott's, in the St. Regis.

Outside of UMKC and Ott's, did you ever go to Muddy's on 51st Street? That place was practically my office when not at school or home.

Cheers to KCistas!

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Okay, I'm back home. S is still there, at least for a day or so. It sounds like mostly a tweak in meds, and maybe another procedure to help relieve the current problem, but that will be tomorrow. She was still waiting for a bed so she could transfer out of the ER, but both S and her ER nurse said I should go home, as much as I wanted to stay until she got said bed, as caregivers need to get sleep and take breaks or else they burn out.

This was much with the sense making, so I came home. No I go fall down for a few hours.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

considers the number of posts that have happened while she was out. sighs. skips.

I feel awful for his family. He seemed like he had all this enthusiasm, and would have been a great dad for his kids. And he really cared about stuff.

Yes, this.

(((Sean and S)))

Still loving Thailand. Went for a swim in the pool in my apartment block yesterday - it's indoor, but the roof is glass, so it's still sunlit. Fantastic. Just - wow.

Meanwhile, I seem to be developing a bit of a crush on a (married) coworker. And his wife also is lovely, and I could totally crush on her too. And they are both Canadian. He is uncannily like David Hewlett. If David Hewlett were very tall and very blond and had astonishingly blue eyes. He doesn't think he's related to David Hewlett, but I have decided that he MUST be a distant cousin, because, my God, it is unfuckingCANNY. Gestures, expressions, all of that. Only taller and prettier and blonder. But, OMG, so astonishingly Hewlett-like in terms of expressions and gestures. Crazy.

And there's no chance of accidentally offing the wife I suppose? Damn your morals, Fay! If not, just keep both of them in a box. People can play with them when they visit.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Gronk. Teacup Guy starts the new job tomorrow. Today we got up at the time he will need to get up to get to work on time (about an hour ago). Don't like it.

{{{Sean and S}}} ~ma for a very short hospital stay for S.

{{{Teppy}}} Sorry for the extra stress on your vacation. ~Ma to you and your family.

Very sad about Steven Irwin.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Very sad about Steven Irwin.

I'm putting him in the "gotta go somehow, so people who die doing something they love are a step ahead of the rest of us" category. I'm very sad for his family.
