That actually sounds like a really cool thing to see, Sail. I mean, as far as necessary procedures go. Very glad that everything checked out fine. Plus, very glad they didn't have to shoot you full of dye. That sounds unpleasant.

Spike's Bitches 32: I think I'm sobering up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Toddson, I'm so glad you're back and doing well. I'm sorry your boss is being a bosshat.
and I will sue them into 2010. BRING IT.
I love Vortex.
Robin, didn't you have fibroids, before, or am I confusing you with someone else?
No, I do, Cindy. That's probably the cause of the yuckiness--but it was so much worse than "normal" that I thought I would visit the hivemind. Maybe it was the magic of posting here, but I feel a bit better this afternoon, so I am encouraged that the worst has passed.
Toddson! I'm glad you're back and doing well. And I'm also glad that Vortex is willing to be all fiercely lawyer-y for you.
Robin, remember that it's a muscle as well, so make sure that you're taking care of that, like getting plenty of water and nutrients. When i had really bad cramps, sometimes a big glass of water or gatorade did the trick. or at least made them bearable
Maybe it was the magic of posting here, but I feel a bit better this afternoon, so I am encouraged that the worst has passed.I'm glad to hear that. A call to the doctor is still probably a good idea, just because.
After I had the babies, I was quite a bleeder. Fully saturating a pad per hour was the when-to-call standard the doctor gave me.
You're probably already taking it, but if not, I know the nurse at my OB practice said Ibuprofen "clamps down" on the uterus. Now, I never quite got the "clamps down" bit, but her point was it helps slow the bleeding. 600mg - 3 times a day, or 800mg 3 times a day, taken with food (and milk, I say),
Is today the day Teppy, billytea, Cashmere, etc., went to the zoo?
So good to see your pixels, Toddson!
I just took a look at the how to chop an onion instructions. It includes slicing with the knife blade horizontal. Not happening with any knife in my hands. I will have to continue in my incompetent onion chopping ways.
I didn't mean to kill the thread! I foreswear all onion chopping and leave it to those who know what they're doing!
Thanks, everyone, for the -ma. My sister is ok--she just has a mild concussion and is VERY sore. The person trying to throw her out at third base hit her in the back of the head and she went head over heels, hyperextending her shoulder in the fall. She was unconscious for a few seconds so they called the ambulance to take her to the emergency room.

It is, indeed. Hence my not-here-edness. It was a reallyl great day. Billytea and Teppy were extremely patient considering Owen wasn't having the best of days (read was a complete, unholy terror). Olivia made up for it by being charming enough for both of them, thank goodness. I'm uploading some pictures now.
Billytea and Olivia are both the proud owners of identical, plush, pink naked mole rats.
