Yes, I was extremely disappointed in the new showrunners of AG making that move. Anansi is a long-haul character, and you have the perfect vehicle for a spin-off with Anansi Boys. It really can't help but seem inherently racist.

Woe to the fucking wicked.
So, we finished Lovecraft Country over the weekend. The finale was kinda anti-climactic...but the season was quite good, if falling into many of the genre frustrations ("Have you people considered talking to each other? PLEASE?").
Not sure how I feel about S2...I kinda hope they don't bring in another couple guys, but I'm sure they will.

Lovecraft Country had some flaws, but I loved it. As a proud blerd, it was really terrific to see characters of color anchor a genre series. I loved the juxtaposition of the power in the magical world vs. the lack of power in the "real" world. Also, the music was incredible.
I'm looking forward to the next season.
