"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I loved the first episode of American Gods! We subscribed to Starz through Amazon, and I'm going to try to watch Outlander while we have it too. It was as visually stunning as I expect a Bryan Fuller episode to be, and the soundtrack was amazing as well. I expected Laura to be and look different, but we haven't seen much of her yet. I loved Shadow, and Ian McShane is absolutely perfect.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Love Shadow and Wednesday! Really looking forward to Orlando Jones as Mr. Nancy.

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

My husband and I were pretty disappointed in the first episode of American Gods. He thinks the editing was terrible, and I just felt like it was trying way too hard to be edgy.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Ep 4 of American Gods is really good. We accidentally watched it first (because the screener site is badly designed), and I'm super-glad, because the premiere was so disappointing. (The editing style calms down a LOT in ep 4, and I really hope it's not a fluke.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

It was right up my alley, but then so were the freaky dream sequences in Hannibal.

Me too, Matt.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Is this where we'll be discussing the new Twin Peaks? On one hand, it's Showtime. On the other hand, I think it's going to be a streaming option on Hulu (albeit a premium one).

Art Crawl!!!

I watched the new Twin Peaks. And I realized that I cannot recall how the original series ended nor did I watch "Fire Walk With Me" - did the latter impact this new series at all? Or should I, in the two weeks prior to the next episode (s?) just rewatch the original series?

Because books.

Oooh, same. I actually added Showtime to my Hulu subscription so I can watch, but I haven't yet, because I realized what sumi just said.
