I feel like The Normal Heart was all I heard about on HBO for a while, but I watch Game of Thrones in real time, so I always sat through the promos for things that they air before the show starts.
I would like to see it, but I'm not really in the mood for a serious ugly crying movie right now.
Entertainment Weekly did a cover story on it, so if you read it you may have read about the movie there. And I know I saw Jim Parsons doing promo stuff on Letterman and on The Daily Show for it.
HBO's Historical Revisionism
But "All Series" does not mean "All Series," or anything close. The further back you go, the thinner things get relative to HBO's actual catalog, until there's almost nothing at all (there seems to be an unofficial soft cutoff at about… Oz)
I was watching the scene with Arya and The Hound at the Bloody Gate again, and that laugh she gives when they hear Lyssa is dead. It just blows my mind that Maisie Williams isn't even 18 yet and she's already delivered multiple performances that are better than most actors will give in their lifetimes.
I can't believe there's only one episode left.
Oh, Jon Snow. Sam and Ygritte and I love you equally, I think.
So many amazing shots from the top of the wall. I don't know how they did any of that, but it looked awesome.
Yeah to all that.
That is one hell of an oath.
I love how EVERYONE (except Janos Slynt) stepped up and showed their mettle.
Oh, the oath! That scene with the giant and the gate was fantastic. I appreciate that we didn't have to see how it played out, though.
Jon telling Ygritte that they'd go back to the cave made me a little misty, I have to admit.
The crane shot when Jon* arrived was, I think, the biggest practical (rather than digital) bit.
Also, the Wolf Unit apparently wanted a piece of the bloody eye action.

Me, too.
I cheered when the one giant went down, and then I felt bad because there don't seem to be many of them left.
And now I realize that I was so caught up in watching that that I forgot to hydrate and didn't hear the dryer buzz. Good thing I wasn't actively trying to cook anything.
