We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

Okay, as much as I loved this episode, HBO is seriously torturing me with this whole splitting the trial of the Hound over two episodes. Bad mean taunty HBO.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

See, I think Bran may do more running than any of the other actors.

Yeah, I thought about commenting on you FB post, "You keep saying that..."

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Hi, my name is Margaery, and the instrument I'll be playing today is Joffrey Baratheon.

My god, the look on Cercei's face when the crowd started cheering for them. And her whole conversation with Tywin. "Very well. Contribute."

This was the last ep I'd seen in advance, so I have no special information about what's going to happen next week! This is so frustrating/exciting! (I think I know one thing based on the promo, and I can't wait.)

Because books.

The fact that Tywin doesn't treat Cersei any differently than Tyrion was very satisfying. I also love that he knows Joffrey is a monster.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I could be a little bit in love with her

Don't be coy. There's more than a little there.

I noticed when Bran jerked up awake this time he did so using his arms.

I wish I'd come away with more of a sense of what was going through Cersei's head when the crowd was yelling for Margaery. I know she thought going out there was a bad idea, but I'm not sure how outwitted she feels by their entire family.

I'm not getting the same sense of her and Tyrion's awesome this season. Which isn't a critique, but I see where and why things shifted for Tyrion. Less clear for her.

I'm curious to see what comes of the assertion of leashing Joffrey. I...I do wish he were written a bit subtler. He takes me out of the story.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Her lack of control over Joffrey is how I read it. Things were great until Joffrey held the throne. He is quite savage and does not seem to read nonverbals well.

See, I can't respect that. I know that the shine is meant to come off her, but I don't think we got any indication that Joffrey changed so much as he blossomed. He didn't wake up a psychopath and an asshole the morning after his father died.

And when I say "respect" I don't mean I need to like her--just that it diminishes my appreciation of her faculties. Tyrion's shift worked much better for me.

No, but he did wake up king. She totally underestimated how much of her previous power over him rested in her being Queen vs her being Mom.

Yeah, I think when Ned Stark lost his head was her "oh, fuck" moment. I think she thought she could control him more, like Jessica said.

Yeah, I thought about commenting on you FB post, "You keep saying that..."

I went back and checked the preview from last week, because I swore I saw a clip from the actual fight amongst the speedy-clips-at-the-end that they always do. But it was actually Ramsey (the guy who helped Theon "escape") holding a torch.

Now that we know that kid is actually Ramsey Snow, I wonder if they're actually at the Dreadfort, and all those people know who he is (the dying guy's "You little bastard" last week would seem to say yes), or if they're somewhere else and Ramsey's in his Reek disguise (which he kind of seems to be). Although, explaining all that may wind up being more confusing than not explaining it.
