Well, it all ends, right? But I know what you mean, that last season was so crowded, with the showfolk and all, and then it's like that part in the Princess Bride, and David Milch is sitting on our beds as we're like
"Uncle Dave, tell us something awful happened to Hearst? Right? It's like a Vader thing...Swergin kills him and is redeemed?"
And then, we might need to repeat that, because Uncle Dave used to *really* love heroin and maybe his short-term memory isn't quite what it used to be.
But it whets our anticipation, so it's a bummer when Uncle Dave looks over his glasses at us and says "Nothing happens to him. He's the same shitbird as ever, except worse. And I have to go make up a story about a surfing alien now."
Or something like that.
Right?
I'm not for certain that this is the right thread...but have we seen this Spartacus trailer already?
Oy. It's like Gladiator Meets 300 While Slithering Around Plato's Retreat. Seriously.
I'm intrigued because it's Sam Raimi...with John Hannah and Craig Parker (Darken Rahl of Legend of the Seeker and Haldir of LoTR), but the preview puts it in the category of so OTT I might not be able to handle it.
I wonder what Kirk will have to say about it.
eta: Huh. The 2010 release date puts it within the 50th anniversary of the Kirk Douglas version. I had no idea it was released in the year of my birth. OR, that KD's given name is Issur Danielovitch Demsky. Impressive facts, both.
Is Haldir the Tori Spelling Elf?
Yes. (Also the evil dude on Legends of the Seeker.)
For those few people that care, I put up an essay about Johnny Drama on my blog.

You know, coming from such bookish fandoms, I'm kind of shocked that people don't write this way all the time, but there are eps that are so silly, it can be hard to think about Entourage canon with a straight face too...I have to remember that part of the fanbase is fascinated by breast implants.
Weee! Flashbacks! Non-embarrassing accents! Sam finally asking The Question!.
Now if only the power would stop cutting out. Hail earlier, now rain pouring in through the front door.
DVR wackiness messed up my True Blood recording, so I'll have to get the later show (had to watch the end of Doctor Who while this started recording).
Poor Sam, he ought to have seen a thing too-good-to-be-true coming. Goodness knows, his hangdog existence has given him plenty of experience. I'm sad for him though.
The orgy scene with Nouveau French Bill and his maker grossed me right out. And caused my watching companions, who thought they might give up on the show after last week, to sit up straighter and murmur, "Well, this is looking up!"
Yikes.
It's interesting that one question was answered - that some people can shift into more than one shape. I think that she originally shifted into a doe because it's a very nonthreatening form, people think Bambi and innocence. Although a pig isn't what I would have picked if I was going "running".
I think that Andy will save the day somehow, in a drunken bumbling way, and end up getting reinstated.
Poor Lafayette! His PTSD is terrible! But, I loved that Terry was the one who recognized what was happening and helped him deal with it. I was terribly amused by "If you'd been on a gay cruise, you'd have more pizazz, not less!"
