Saw through to the fourth one(thanks to Corwood) and I think my favorite part(aside from Omar's Ninja vengeance) was when Editor Guy was telling Clark J. "watch the profanity." Because that is one thing that happened to Simon all the frickin' time. I think it would me, too, if I hung around with cops and cornerboys all day, and I haven't massaged my anti-authoritarian streak as much as he has. I'd really like to. Some days DS should thank God he's not a woman. Not that I'm suggesting he get all Orthodox on a bitch or nothin. But he'd be nothing but that pushy Jewish Simon bitch then. But he'd probably have kept more hair. But a woman can only take over the world as long as she plasters a smile on her face. I just pick up what I hear the most. So if I hung around on the streets, it would be a very short road to "What the *fuck* did you do to my lede, you corporate motherfucker?" It reminds me of something I read about Homicide detective McClarney and how he quit law school because he kept thinking things like "Defendant A is gonna get his ass locked up if he doesn't cut the shit."
Premium Cable: The Cursing Costs Extra
[NAFDA] A thread for the discussion of all original programming on HBO, Showtime, Starz and other premium channels.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Whitefonted to avoid spoiling Erika: Munch? That's what, nine different tv shows now?
Cor, that was my thought too.
And the one line definitely suggests it.
I was not very sharp by the time I watched the Wire last night so maybe it's obvious but I could not figure out how (erika whitefont!) they recorded the call that McNulty made to the reporter. What line was the wire on?? Or...what line were they acting like it was on? Because they weren't tapping the reporter's phone. Am very confused!
lisah, I think Lester said they were spoofing the pay phone with a cell for the trace and they plugged directly into the wire to make the phone call (since it is generally not actually attached to anything).
According to NPR this morning, that's 8 different shows for Munch. I was a little concerned about continuity - how can he be a regular at a bar in Baltimore if he's working SVU in NY, but I don't watch SVU so maybe it is workable.
AH! SO they were acting like the call came from the pay phone but then he sent the picture from a cell phone. I get it!
I was thinking that he was supposed to have called from the cell phone.
How on earth are McNulty and Lester going to get out of this mess?!!??!
How on earth are McNulty and Lester going to get out of this mess?!!??!
They're not.
Total careericide.
Total careericide.
So do you think the series ends with them in jail? Or what?
How many eps do we have left? I'M SO NERVOUS ABOUT IT!!!
I agree. In fact, Beau and I are laying down informal bets that more than McNulty's career may be killed...
lisah, 5 more eps...
