While discussing the nature of the cloud vortex over at LJ, we talked about possibility that the vortex could be a wormhole. Which immediately gave me Farscape flashbacks. It could either be a direct passage to Milky Way/the Earth, or another wacky (if less likely) possibility is that it could lead to some kind of AU. I know BSG has by and large avoided the more common Sci-Fi tropes, but I have a HUGE kink about AU/multiverse or anything that messes with Time, so... I'll just sit on the corner and geek out about the possibility. I mean, there's gotta be some kind of huge paradigm shift at the end of the season, right?
Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
The obvious plot point that I think they may be playing to here is that the "dying leader who will bring them to Earth" is Starbuck. She's being set up as a messiah figure, and she will no longer be the Starbuck we knew, no matter if she comes back or not. So, Yes, Starbuck is dead. Long Live Starbuck.
Oh, ColinG, that makes me think she won't be back at all.
cereal...
I've been meaning to ask this for weeks. I keep seeing the name David Simkins on the credits of The Dresden Files. Did he sorta-kinda briefly work as the show-runner on Angel, in a I-wasn't-thinking-about-you-when-you-were-here way? The name is very familiar.

So you're thinking of a different interpretation of the participle?

According to the imdb, you are not wrong. He's been all over the genre TV map: [link]

Cindy, yes, he did. He was exec producer on Angel 4th season, after Greenwalt left. He didn't stay long, though.
He's worked on a bunch of genre shows.
They invested too much in Kara Thrace's Special Destiny for her to be well and truly dead. I still expect an ass-pull.
I dislike the term empath used to describe Peter, because he's not empathic.
He's a mimic. Although the old X-Men character called the Mimic [link] could only duplicate the X-Men's powers as long as he was near them. Duplicate Boy from the first version of the LSH had the same ability as Peter.
Sooner or later Peter's gonna remember how to read minds. That should be fun for Nathan and Claude.
After tonight, Heroes won't be back until April 23rd.
Argh.
