Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What is even happening?

cereal...

I've been meaning to ask this for weeks. I keep seeing the name David Simkins on the credits of The Dresden Files. Did he sorta-kinda briefly work as the show-runner on Angel, in a I-wasn't-thinking-about-you-when-you-were-here way? The name is very familiar.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

The obvious plot point that I think they may be playing to here is that the "dying leader who will bring them to Earth" is Starbuck.

So you're thinking of a different interpretation of the participle?

According to the imdb, you are not wrong. He's been all over the genre TV map: [link]

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Cindy, yes, he did. He was exec producer on Angel 4th season, after Greenwalt left. He didn't stay long, though.

He's worked on a bunch of genre shows.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

They invested too much in Kara Thrace's Special Destiny for her to be well and truly dead. I still expect an ass-pull.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I dislike the term empath used to describe Peter, because he's not empathic.

He's a mimic. Although the old X-Men character called the Mimic [link] could only duplicate the X-Men's powers as long as he was near them. Duplicate Boy from the first version of the LSH had the same ability as Peter.

Sooner or later Peter's gonna remember how to read minds. That should be fun for Nathan and Claude.

Cindy, he was (briefly) the showrunner that didn't seem to realize how invested Joss is in keeping spoilers close to the vest. He revealed a lot of stuff about the upcoming Faith arc, and even Angelus if I'm not mistaken, in interviews before "creative differences" forced him to seek other employment.

Now tagless for your comfort.

After tonight, Heroes won't be back until April 23rd.

Since I'm like five episodes behind which are stored on my dvr, I may be finally able to catch up.

Oh, that's right. I maybe kind of loved him for that, loving spoilers as I do (but the job should have gone to Tim or Jeff in the first place, anyhow).

Oh, no more Heroes for that long? Ugh. Almost all my shows are doing that to me, and I have so many.
