A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

I don't understand why they went with Jupiter as the husband of Hera. I mean, if it's Hera why not Zeus? And if it's Jupiter why not Juno?
The closed captioning said Zeus. I'm wondering if they changed it to Jupiter, for the planetary considerations.
Had there been any hints of food problems, or was it "And this week, they're hungry!"?
Nope. It just happened. I had been wondering when the hell it WOULD happen because, come on, where is all this food coming from, but it's never been brought up until now. I actually didn't mind the conceit that much; the Kat thing was a different story.
Why couldn't there be a planet called Zeus? I mean, are they supposed to be in our system now?
BTW, I hear that there was a fun promo for Heroes after the repeats on NBC last night. (I didn't see it though.)
It wasn't so much this week they're hungry as this week their food supply has been contaminated, so they're hungry. Seemed reasonable to me.
Oh, right, they did suddenly have a reason. Good point.
I didn't think it was funny--but totally understood how it was the most hysterical thing in the world for Tigh and Adama.
Yeah, this. And it was such a great character moment.
I thought the food thing seemed unexpected, but not asspully. Just a way to elucidate their vulnerability.
Anyone else downloaded this week's
Torchwood
ep yet? I really liked both this week's and last week's; I think this show is winning me back. A lot of my warmth or lack thereof towards any particular episode is related to
how likeable/useful Gwen is, and I thought this episode did a good job of showcasing the things that I like about her, plus she got to solve a mystery all on her own.
There was no
moment like last week's "Kinky gay stopwatch sex?" "You bet!", sadly, but maybe they're saving it up for next week's, which looks potentially awesome.
I'm just starting my weekly Torchwood aheming now... probably won't be done for hours!
::stamps tiny foot::
Like most things, I am behind on the Torchwood viewing. I've only watched the first 3. Not totally sold yet, but I have the rest in my queue that I will watch before I make up my mind. I need to get to know the characters more.
For some reason the running short of water bothered me less. Perhaps because it's been how many episodes and the food issue has been completely transparent. Even introducing a replicator malfunction in Trek would seem more natural to me because we saw replicators all the time.
I need to finish the Torchwood ep. I was too zoned out and had to keep rewinding. I have these character questions I want to ask, but maybe they're answered in the next ten minutes.
