I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I enjoyed BSG until the revelation that Adama played a part (or believed he played a part) in the destruction of Caprica. It felt ass-pully to me. I don't buy that he could/would have kept that little nugget buried all this time, especially since he's such an honest, moral-type guy.

Loved Roslin pulling him back into the reality of the moment like she always does. Resignation?! You're getting this medal and you're gonna like it!

Three-way seemed a bit gratuitous. I know we saw Xena!Cylon change her mind about Gaius in last week's ep, but when did that Six get into him? As far as we've been shown, she has no use for him. It's only the Six in his head that wants him.

I thought it was unlikely that Adama would have honestly believed he was solely responsible for initiating the war with the Cylons. He's not the kind of guy to assume that kind of guilty responsibility--if he'd ever believed it, he would have disabused himself of the notion with the realization that, as Roslin said, there were far too many other factors at play. And as for saying "we confirmed we were the warmongers they feared us to be," bah. I am going to pretend he never said it--it's so very not what the career military would say.

I call bullshit.

All that said, I liked Bulldog (Dixon! yay!), although he seems old enough to have been promoted past Lieutenant by now. And I thought it was interesting that Kara went to Tigh instead of Adama or Lee with her suspicions--that's a real sign of how far she's changed from the first two seasons.

"Either it's murder, or this library has a very strict overdue policy."

And yet apart from that Adama-moment, everyone was more themselves in ways they haven't been since that insanely premature (from my point of view) rescue at New Caprica. Tigh the last few episodes has been a disaster, except this one.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I don't know whether or not I like the fact that while Roslin and Lee said pretty much the same thing to Adama, Lee didn't have the confidence to back up what he was forcing himself to believe and say.

Not saying it's out of character for him, just not sure if I liked that. Which is sad, cuz I used to love him so (and not just for the Bamceps!)

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

but when did that Six get into him? As far as we've been shown, she has no use for him. It's only the Six in his head that wants him.

I think it's still Caprica!Six, who was seeing Baltar in her head--man, I wish they were still showing that, because that was like a gift from the BSG writers straight to me.

Can I reccomend something? If you can get your hands on it, aheming or otherwise, you should totally check out the new BBC version of Robin Hood. Great sets, funny, engaging. The actors are surprisingly good, and it's fun to follow along the storylines that you know so well in this new formation. Really good stuff.

Really good stuff.

Wow, really, SA? Because infinitemonkeys on LJ had said that it was cheesy and bad. Huh. Maybe I'll ahem an episode just to see.

... because I have so much time to watch television, right. Sigh.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

but when did that Six get into him? As far as we've been shown, she has no use for him.

They were sleeping together the entire time she was on New Caprica, though, even if she's all "I can't love you because I'm embracing my Cylonity!" now that they're back on the ship.

Exactly -- I never thought it wasn't Caprica in bed with Gaius and Three.

Thrive to spite them

I'm all caught up on Torchwood and I didn't hate the latest episode as much as I thought I would based on the comments about it. I think the idea was kind of cool but the execution was poor and I didn't understand how Jack found out about the faeries and who they really were and by the second time he went into the Chosen bit I wanted more background on them. Also I don't think they did a very good job of selling Jack and the woman being in a past relationship so it was all very abrupt. I wish they'd taken time to introduce her in one episode and give a little of Jack's background and then in another episode had the fairy storyline with her dying.
