S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

but when did that Six get into him? As far as we've been shown, she has no use for him. It's only the Six in his head that wants him.

I think it's still Caprica!Six, who was seeing Baltar in her head--man, I wish they were still showing that, because that was like a gift from the BSG writers straight to me.

Can I reccomend something? If you can get your hands on it, aheming or otherwise, you should totally check out the new BBC version of Robin Hood. Great sets, funny, engaging. The actors are surprisingly good, and it's fun to follow along the storylines that you know so well in this new formation. Really good stuff.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Really good stuff.

Wow, really, SA? Because infinitemonkeys on LJ had said that it was cheesy and bad. Huh. Maybe I'll ahem an episode just to see.

... because I have so much time to watch television, right. Sigh.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

but when did that Six get into him? As far as we've been shown, she has no use for him.

They were sleeping together the entire time she was on New Caprica, though, even if she's all "I can't love you because I'm embracing my Cylonity!" now that they're back on the ship.

Art Crawl!!!

Exactly -- I never thought it wasn't Caprica in bed with Gaius and Three.

Thrive to spite them

I'm all caught up on Torchwood and I didn't hate the latest episode as much as I thought I would based on the comments about it. I think the idea was kind of cool but the execution was poor and I didn't understand how Jack found out about the faeries and who they really were and by the second time he went into the Chosen bit I wanted more background on them. Also I don't think they did a very good job of selling Jack and the woman being in a past relationship so it was all very abrupt. I wish they'd taken time to introduce her in one episode and give a little of Jack's background and then in another episode had the fairy storyline with her dying.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

askye, I agree that it would have been nice to have Jack's old flame around for a little longer before killing her off. I had a similar problem with ep. 4; I think there should have been longer between the reveal about Ianto and his Secret Cyberlover and the time when she goes crazy and has to be killed, rather than cramming it all into one episode. We don't have enough time with, or knowledge about, these characters yet for those moments to have real emotional payoff.

Anyone seen 1.06 yet? I thought it was a definite improvement over the last few, although I could have done with about 90% less screentime given over to shots of decomposing and mutilated bodies, pools of blood, carcasses hanging on meathooks, etc. Yuck! But I surprised myself by liking the Owen/Gwen hookup. Well, maybe "liking" is too strong a term, but I can buy it. I still think Owen is basically a nasty guy and I wish Gwen could see that. But then I remembered that she doesn't know everything we know about him--like, you know, that he's a rapist--and it does make sense that she'd want to be with someone she could talk to about everything she's seen at Torchwood. Again, though, it seems like this is all happening really fast; I thought it would take longer for them to fall into bed together.

Oh, and Captain Hero Rambo Jack was so, so incredibly cheesy. I feel about slow-motion the way some people feel about human cloning: just because you *can*, doesn't mean you *should*. Still, I very much enjoyed the episode.

Kate -- agree about the Cyberwoman thing, all the explanations seem so rushed, I wonder how many episodes are there in this first series? and are they going to do a second, because maybe that's why they are rushing things. I downloaded tonights episode and I've watched a bit of it, from the previews it looked like maybe it would be something like the movie Saw so I skipped to different parts to see how gory it would be and watched the ending. I'll have to see the episode to figure out how I feel about Owen and Gwen hooking up.

askye, I haven't seen Saw, so I don't know how gory it is, but my guess is very. This episode is probably not that bad. It was definitely a higher level of grossness than I was expecting; but bear in mind also that I really don't do gore at all, so it might be an acceptable level for you.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Just found out that Matt Frewer is a busy man. Not only is he now a series regular on Eureka, he's also a series regular on what sounds like an interesting Canadian spy/crime drama called, Intelligence. [link] I haven't seen any episodes but I'm sorely tempted to ahem what's available so far.

I watched a little bit last night of Torchwood and - when Gwen started asking but who they'd last kissed I cringed immediately because I knew Ianto had last kissed Lisa (he looked so hurt and lost and on a shallow note he looked good in casual clothes). Was it just me or did Sato look jealous when Owen said he kissed Gwen? Again I think they are rushing things because I didn't really see any heat between Gwen and Owen except when he had her pinned against the tree and I would love to see some build up before they acted on their feelings.
