So far as I know the John/Ellen is purely fan speculation not canon.

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
There were many things I liked about this episode, but most of them have already been discussed. I did feel like in many ways, the writers were talking to us, the audience. They addressed who exactly is the Six in Baltar's head and the whole five other models things. There might have one or two other things.
Like Daniel, I thought of V'ger when I saw the probe.
I think Tigh may be at the end of the line. It's hard to see where his character will go from here. Plus, his death would cause a lot of angst and pain for Adama and we know how much BSG loves that.
They addressed who exactly is the Six in Baltar's head
No, they didn't. She just said she was an Angel of God, which was exactly what she said when Baltar didn't find a chip in his head. That was nice continuity there, given that it hasn't been touched on in a long while.
Well, they talked about addressing it, at least. She did know an awful lot that he couldn't have (if he's human), but that's hardly new.
Regarding SPN:
Which would mean she has no problem with other people taking up the hunt, and would support Dean and Sam just fine -- she didn't raise them; she's not responsible for them. (Also, they're obviously adults, and as far as she knows, chose their own way.)
Here at my house we were trying to figure out how old Jo is supposed to be. During one of Ellen and Jo's fights, Ellen yelled that Jo could go back to school. So we'd have to assume she's of college age, therefore I'd guess maybe a year or two younger than Sam. So she's young, and yes, she's Ellen's child, but she's not a little girl. More or less an adult, capable of being responsible for herself, and choosing her own way, whether Ellen likes it or not.
For some reason, I had it in my head that she (Jo) is 23. I don't know WHERE I got that from.
Wait -- she's w/i a year of Sam's age -- there was something about her birthdate in one of the episodes. She's younger than Sam but not by much.

Have I mentioned here, or just in LJ, how much I want Jo to be one of the kids the demon's after? I doubt it'll come to that, but, man, I find the notion entertaining as heck. Esp. given how that spins the entire Ellen dynamic for me.
Oh, I totally agree -- that would be excellent.
Damn it. Forgot Torchwood was on today in the UK.

Right, but, whether or not Ellen has legal say in Jo's life, she certainly has a lot of influence. It takes a lot of guts and a really big fight to do as Sam did, break with a parent and go off on your own (socially, financially). Even if Jo is 23 (plausible, although it's headspinny seeing a recent highschooler in that role), that doesn't mean she's ready -- or ever will be -- to break with Ellen.
And Ellen, even if she has no legal sway, certainly has the chutzpah and the ammunition to keep an emotional sway.
