I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

This Doctor was not my favorite. Too many of the "desperately evading the Cybermen" were pure filler. No real wit. But the people who wanted Mickey gone got their wish. I was not as anti-Mickey as all that. (After all, this is not the first time he's saved their behinds.) But, I have to admit, he is not exactly essential to the show.

I do hope the next episode is a bit cleverer.

Also did I miss where the one Cyberman saying "Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!" as the very last line of the first part of this two parter was explained? I mean before the implants were turned off in the second half, their emotions were meant to be blocked. True?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Okay, I'm a bit worried that Athena will get the virus.

Me too!

And to be fair to them both, Kat was being ridiculous in that first scene.

You think so? I thought she was talking sense, what with Starbuck and Tigh being total assholes.

I was sort of surprised that everyone responds to being occupied by Cylons by loving Sharon.

I got sort of lost with all the talk of hybrids. What now? Was that an eighth model, then?

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

That was the ship.

But it looked humanoid. What is it a hybrid of, and how is it different from the Cylon models?

They were, but even so. When she was whining about how bad it was in the fleet? Dur. It's not that it didn't suck, but have some sense, woman. It was like saying, "Oh, you were in a concentration camp? Whatever, let me tell you about how much it sucked for us here, with the food stamps and all." She totally deserved to be talked down to, but then of course Tigh & Starbuck had to escalate everything. I think Kat's psychotic competitiveness (she's like my family!) is leading to her trying to out-martyr Starbuck. Which is just not going to happen.

Oh, I absolutely agree with you there. They cannot even BEGIN to compare. It's pretty much classic Galactica: they're both right and they're both wrong.

I thought it was not completely humanoid, just partly, and couldn't get out of its tub. I figured it was a hybrid of the skinjob technology and the technology behind the raiders, but that was all just me thinking about it.

"Would you mind not farting while I'm saving the world?" - Doctor Who

What didn't ring true for me in DW was Rose being all broken up about leaving Mickey behind. She never seemed to be particularly attached to him before and would leave him behind at a moment's notice to follow the Doctor. The only time she seemed to take an interest was when he volunteered to come along.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

What didn't ring true for me in DW was Rose being all broken up about leaving Mickey behind.

She did seem to take him for granted a lot. But they were friends for a long time, and now she's never ever never going to see him again. (Plus she was in a weird emotional place with not!dad... abandonment issues ahoy?)

Art Crawl!!!

Oh yes, what the crew of Galactica went through cannot compare to what the folks who got left behind on New Caprica went through -- and that's just the general population. Then you get to Tigh and Kara --there's just no comparison.
