Cordelia: I get it now. You're all spies. Probably all Russian. And you've brainwashed me, and want me to believe we're friends so I'll spill the beans about some nano-technology thingy that you want. Gunn: So I look Russian to you? Cordelia: Black Russian. Angel: That's a drink.

Boxed Set, Vol. III: "That Can't Be Good..."

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Speaking of big mistakes and belts and completely off topic--Lorelai's belt over that red dress last night was horrible.

Oh my god, I couldn't take my eyes off that ridiculous belt from 1983. It was a hot mess.

It certainly wasn't helped by her oversized shift dress from some retro sixties lovechild movie that she wore to the cotillion. The GFY fugged Lauren Graham recently, and noted that the costumers always dress her like she's fifteen pounds heavier than she is. And now I can't help but see that *all the time.* Watching the credits is like watching her be gorgeously attired, and then the show doesn't live up to the credits. The promo shots are better than this.

In other news, whoa Heroes! It was a freaking amazing episode. I'm in love with Hiro and Ando. Everything's interesting. But I think my absolute favorite parts are seeing Crazy Painter Guy's artwork. That charcoal pencil drawing of Jesse and Gorgeous Woman kissing, with that red umbrella detail--it just took my breath away.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Wait, wasn't he the smoking hot captain time traveler in an episode of Who?

Vortex -- yes! Several episodes, actually. As I mentioned above, I like to think of him as Hot Naked Bisexual Captain Jack. (And I don't think we really need to whitefont this particular casting tidbit, considering that Torchwood is basically Captain Jack's spinoff. And god bless Russell T. Davies for it!)

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Now I want all my gay boyfriends to hook up with Captain Jack. He'd look so pretty in their Christmas photos....

You mean... I've licked candy off the neck of the woman whose friend slept with Captain Jack? Suddenly I feel a tiny bit closer to God.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

That "Keys to the Castle" show on A&E was full of yumminess. (ftr, had Captain Jack as the host...)

So was that castle in DW the castle from Rocky Horror Picture Show, or is it just me?

Also, the Lady MacBravery seemed so familiar, but I IMDBed her and I seriously think it's just the particular accent. Sounds just like the girl from The Girl in the Cafe.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Take that Kevin Bacon.

Art Crawl!!!

SG-1 DVD Films Get OK'd From ScifiWire:

SCI FI Channel's original series Stargate SG-1 will wrap up its 10-year run this spring, but that's not the end of the saga. Executive producer Brad Wright told TV Guide that MGM has granted a green light, and enough money, to produce two movies, most likely for DVD.

The first film will tie up most of the finale's loose threads. "It's the climax of the Ori storyline," Wright said, and will be written and directed by executive producer Robert Cooper. The second film, written by Wright, will involve time travel, and both projects should debut in the fall of 2007.

Though no deals are signed, SG-1's stars are said to be "very eager" to continue, Wright added. "They're not big-budget [films] by any definition, but for us it's pretty good," he said. "As we've proven over the years, just give us little more money and we can make pretty good television or DVDs."

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The finale's loose ends? I haven't even seen it yet, and already there's loose ends?

eta yay movies.
