I thought she looked different tonight. Harsher. I thought perhaps she wasn't feeling well, tired. Normally I'd call her cute as a button.
Maybe it was the day she worked a double on two shows?
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Yeah, I hate the "Jack and Alli being thrown together too much" thing. I wanted to have nothing to play and use a subtext. But TPTB clearly didn't agree. There were actually two episodes where the idea of kissing was tossed around and it made me so mad.
Yeah, I played the joke on Zoe's exit instead of the reality. I mean I guess the character could be making a joke but in retrospect I'd have gone the other way.
You would not believe the conversations about the magnetic fence. How about teeth fillings? Salli actually had on a big buckled belt but she said it looked stupid and wouldn't wear it - so they got the smaller one. Also, my name tag is actually plastic, the badge would have torn the shirt, and any gun that Salli could have had would have to have been plastic.
There was also a cow attached by her cowbell but she wouldn't play nice. We shared a look in one take.
It bugs me that logic has to be partially turned off. I mean, I know it's TV and it just has to, but that is a concern (Sci Fi spoke about it last weekend) and we will do better... should we get to come back.
If you're going to be set in the real world and talk about science and be entertaining, there will be handwaving. I mean, hell, Farscape had handwaving, and it was set in another galaxy, with muppets.
(Not that real-world science isn't entertaining, but it's rarely entertaining in as narratively satisfying a way as TV science can be.)
Finally caught up! Loved this ep. Yay robots!
What was the last scene? SciFi lied and the ep was a few minutes off.
I got to the "Dad," at the busstop.
There was also a cow attached by her cowbell but she wouldn't play nice.I was waiting for the cow.
We shared a look in one take.Just in the subtext or was it anvily as well?
Okay, and now reading back...
If callister was wireless, why was it a big deal that he was touching things? They made a point of showing him pushing the button for the crosswalk, etc. (and why did he need to be wireless at all?) How did he blow stuff up?
He told Stark he was "losing control" so I figured he was touching things to have more control, so he wouldn't accidentally blow something up. He was wireless because having Wifi in my head would rock, and it would therefore be the first feature I would include in my robot.
The wireless transmitter became wonky because Stark replaced some chip or other before he sent Callister away, for a reason I need to rewatch to find out what it was. It was the new chip that was making things wonky. (I wasn't entirely clear on where the virus came from, but I think the town caught it from Callister.)
you geeks with the magneto and the handwaving and the glayvin - WOO you had me laughing.
flapping arms
oh favorite, I cackled out loud and scared the cats.
RE: the magnetic fence. I was afeared of earrings beiga target and her head...well, you know I'ma prude and I had to look away.
We enjoyed this week's Eureka. Even my cat, Sammie, sat and watched it. She does have a thing for sandy-haired males, so it may have been entirely superficial on her part.
The coffee cups Zoe had at the end were obviously empty. Props! Can we get some liquid in these? How about sand?
You know, Daniel, the coffee cups bothered me too, but I figured I was just being too petty for words and didn't say anything. Thanks for speaking up.
I've poked at the the things that bugged but I haven't said what I liked--which was seeing the human side of Stark--for a robot, which was his child, sort of. And the blowup at Zoe, and the apology. All good things. I wondered why there had to be a Zoe, she seemed superfluous at first. But some of the best interaction has been between Zoe and Jack.
